the new w700i, essentially a watered-down w800i BUT it supports A2DP. I was going to try and flash my k750i to a w700i and see what happens. Expected effects are the loss of autofocus (the w700i doesn't have that, but I can live without autofocus for wireless love) and the addition of A2DP.
Well, the first issue I wanted to address was if anyone has a w700i and can confirm the A2DP profile. Secondly, I was wondering if anyone might give me a reason not to do this. Just an idea, thanks for your time.

I think it should be possible to flash w800 only with the bluetooth driver of w700, you have to know which file it is, of course. |

just called the call center in Romania, and they said what i have read you said ages ago .. that k750i does not support a2dp .. and that`s shitty, the phone is not that cheap, I am very dissapointed that k750i does not support it .. i`ll have to buy loads of other stuff just to hear stereo music into my ears and talk in-betwenn the music.
I`ll have to look around, but i more than positive that i won`t find any itech products here

Finally I found the right topic, because that issue is really disappointing. I think the manufactures themselfes should make an axtra version of flash to install a2dp or AV service for BT. I've already come across manually tweaked camera drivers, so why not try and make an a2dp driver for k750-w800. |

I really doubt the bluetooth chip on the K750 even has A2DP hardware. Just because a bluetooth standard supports A2DP, doesn't mean every BT chip of that standard supports all the possible profiles. I'm quite sure that for space saving reasons SE would have uses a BT chip that doesn't include A2DP, hence it's lack of support for A2DP.
K750 and W800 were brought out before A2DP was widely available in consumer devices, so you can't blame SE for not making K750 A2DP compatible. There are any number of CURRENT SE models that support A2DP.
