Does anyone know of a finance tracking application, similar to Quicken or MS Money, available for WM?
There are quite a few that will sync with either Money or Quicken. SPB Finance or Cash organsier 2008 are good ones to start with. |

I send the contacts details on my N95 to X1 using bluetooth. First I select all the contacts then make sure the phones r pair together then select sent and there was no problem at all.
Interesting... what firmware version are you running? I'm on vodafone, and they tend to play around with the firmware version and invariable mess some things up.

Hi all,
Can someone please confirm that the X1 is indeed Quad band GSM and dual band UMTS. As so far what is being said makes no sense as whilst the X1 may work with AT&T on the 850mhz band that would be GSM and not UMTS which is a very different result altogether.
For the X1 to work on 850 UMTS it would also work on 1900 UMTS as that is how the bands are paired is it not? so if it doesn't work on 850 band because although the setting is there it doesn't actually have the hardware support it is not going to work on the 1900 band either for the same reason logic dictates.
As i said this is a report from the first person to actually try it rather than speculate lets just wait and see what happens as more X1's hit North America and wait for some one to say they are getting 3G/HSDPA on a X1. Then and only then will anyone have proof that a X1 will work on North American 3G.
But personally i just don't see this happening and that is why there is a X1a for North America only time will tell which of us is right so lets just wait and see rather then going round and round in circles.

The X1 is tri-band umts, not dual band.
As penguino stated:
"Xperia X1i =
GSM 850/900/1800/1900
UMTS 900/1900/2100"
For the Americas, ie: X1a, it's umts 850/1900/2100.
Anyone who buys an X1i expecting it to work in Canada or the US for 3G, when it's clear that the X1a is the phone intended for that market, has to occur to them to do a little research first about what frequencies it supports.
As penguino stated, Rogers uses UMTS 850, so why would anyone buy an X1i expecting it to work on that network. There is no need to try anything, the answer is clear - it won't work.
The Americas generally use 850/1900. Europe generally uses 900 and 2100. Australia uses 850 (telstra "next g") and 2100 (all operators). So for example in Australia we would need an X1a to use the telstra Next G network, or an X1i to use the other operator's 3G networks.
Atleast in America they only need one version
As to X1i and umts 1900 in the US, well I don't know. I guess you are right we need to see more people try. But imho just because it supports 1900 doesn't mean it will work in the US.

Some people here have said that the fonts in the Xperia X1 is very small, but that is a relative thing. So my questions is how small is small?
Is it as small as the Small Font in the SE P1i?
Is it consistently small in the menus vs windows vs IE or Opera browser?
I like small fonts as that allows me to see more text and things on one page, and quite comfortable reading small sized fonts. But as age plods on, I may find that an increasing challenge
Can anyone help with this request? Much appreciated.

@Max
I stand corrected was having a just woken up moment and was just coming back to edit my post to correct it.
Apologies i got it wrong but as i said many are now awaiting delivery of their X1's in North America so as soon as they get them we should have all the answers we are currently seeking.

Hi all,
Just tried gave Google Maps a through "road test". Yes actual road test.
When you switch on GPS, it'll track your current location fairly accurately (200m is what most quote) to your destination. Having never used it before (I don''t bother with SatNav - I'm an old map die-hard) I must say I'm very impressed. Great if you're walking, and not bad if you're driving, and apart from internet access - totally free. I'm not saying it's a replacement for SatNav, as it's doesn't tell you to turn left, etc. though some actually find that annoying. On purpose I took a different street to the recommended route and it still tracks your location accurately.
One obviously downside though... it'll use quite a bit of battery power, but hey it's big battery and you can always buy a cigarette lighter charger.
Apologises for the useless waffle, but I was taught it good to share

Hi all,
Well OK then it does appear to support AT&T's HSDPA Network which is good news for some in the US.
But the one thing that Video did show really well IMO is just how small the text size is and once you double tap it so that it is nice and readable just how little information is then shown. Plus what was my other annoyance that every page needs to be zoomed even within the same session.
@The mont
Actually i agree with you Google maps really is very good now and like you i don't need turn by turn voice directions. I used Google maps recently when i took Otis to kennels and it was nothing short of brilliant and showed my position very accurately indeed.

I've just got off the phone with Voda after succesfully negotiating my upgrade to the X1.
The first guy I spoke to in the upgrades dept told me that because I was only on a £30 a month contract, I'd have to pay £200 for the handset!!!After expressing my disgust, he passed me through to someone else who then told me he could do it for £50. After a bit of umming & ahhing from me, he eventually agreed to do it FOC
It will be delivered between 10:00 and 15:00 tomorrow. I'm so excited, I've been waiting for this since it was anounced back in february.

Hi there,
If contacts are the same as in your address book (i.e. identical name fields used) when you "save a contact" within the Sim Manager, you should be presented with an option to overwrite it. You can do this on-mass, and select all contacts within the SIM manager to copy.
Once you're happy all have been copied to the Contacts on the phone, you can delete the SIM contacts.
Other than that, you can put all SIM contacts into a separate group. Not ideal, but a solution of sorts.

Hi everyone!
I want this phone fast. In Norway it's only the english version out. The Norwegian version isn't due until next year.
Now to my question: I've heard about a 3. part. WM programs that can "remap" my hardware keyboard. I want my special Norwegian letters ÆØÅ. Anyone know of any good program. I ran across the AE Keyboard Mapper, is that any good? Thanks......

Good effort, as I've said on here before, everything is negotiable . To anyone else on Vodafone, like we are, take note and keep asking to lower that price. Each "sales/phone agent" has there own budget. Basically they can do what the heck they like... however they can't do brill deals for everyone, so always ask if someone else can give you a better one.
I haven't paid for an phone upgrade since 2000, or it's just because I'm lucky?
