That article has absolutely no source. Even looking at the 'official blog' that it talks about, there is no mention of a definite 2.2 upgrade.

EDIT: In fact I just found the blog post it is talking about, and it isn't even talking about 2.2 or 2.1, it is talking about the current 1.6 update that half the people on here are waiting for.

Yeah, I too went straight to the 'official blog' site where the article was said to be sourced from and I couldn’t find any mention of it either, also checked other sites . Just thought someone up in here might have some inside knowledge they would like to enlighten us all with . I just think Froyo 2.2 could easily be implemented by because the time & effort it will take them to write/program their UX to skin over Eclair 2.1 could have been used to skin over 2.2.

Even if it were to take 1-2 months longer (I think we all here would be prepared to sacrifice a little more time if we knew we were to get Froyo instead).

Also them chaps over at with their inside knowledge would have known that Google Android was planning to introduce Froyo 2.2 (and all subsequent releases) long before the general public get to find out, so why do they not act upon that fact? (like some other brands do), I’m luving the Sony Ericsson/Android collaboration but I feel that were always gonna be playing catch-up.

BTW still gotta get myself a X10 mini...

Tell me where ? So now it's not sure that x10 will get 2.1 Eclaire ? I have read on other forums, blogs and sites that x10 will get 2.1 in Q4 2010.

@glownlow

i bought from a similar ebayer (can't remember if it's the same one). But i was emailed the unlock code almost immediately after paying. You should contact the seller. Worst case scenario is you get your own unlock code from one of the websites. Should only cost at most $5USD or less if you can find a good deal.

June 16 the Swedish magazine http://www.mobil.se wrote that 2.1 and HD would be rolled out beginning in Q3 for all 3 X10, but in Q4 for some markets. It also looks like there will be an other upgrade later on this year for the big X10 with DLNA support and more upgrades on Time- and Mediascape. Sweden would be in Q3 according to a person from SE.

Here is the article in Swedish

So, going by what we know so far, from the Swedish Magazine and people over at XDA, we can expect 2.1 and HD recording next month?

Sounds good to me. I just need to swap my black X10 for a white one and I'll be sweet.

Well my orange network X10i got the update today, took about 20 mins - 30 mins to do, worked perfect, now to see what the advantages are.

Still no update for my voda network one, but that is typical of voda, they will have to do the usual removing of play now and SE sync apps, then put on their stupid web and music crap, unlick the orange handset which apart from being locked to orange is more or less generic as far as I can see.

Lets see how long it takes voda to release the update if ever. Looks like I may have to try the debrand route with the voda handset.
