Stop complaining about updates.

From Sony Ericsson:

"This update will be gradually rolled out across our markets over the coming weeks, pending the completion of quality approvals for individual markets and operators. The first updates are now live across selected markets. Please check with your local Sony Ericsson customer support when the upgrade will be available for your market and network."

anybody using mediago to synch your musics, videos, podcast with X10 ? I think this is a good application for a complete synchronization with the X10. It can access playstation store too.

ROFL!!! You do realize that you just proved that the old firmware was killing your battery far more, right?

On the new firmware my battery ran down by 8% every hour. On the old firmware it runs down at a rate of 2-3% per hour. How is the old firmware is killing my battery more? At the time of taking the photo more services were running, but the battery was behaving much better.

@Ricky: Yes, they only show percentages. However, I don't really care what's going on in the background, I just want to get through a whole day without charging my phone up two or three times! I understand others are having better luck with the new firmware, but not everyone has the same experience. Similarly, some complained that they had bad battery life under the old firmware, whereas I didn't.

If the Display increases as the major battery use, and everything else goes down, it means the new firmware is better battery wise. Had my phone at 8% last night and woke up to find it at 8%, unbelievable but true. Battery is greatly improved.

It is not a good idea trying to judge battery use by using statistics covering only a couple of minutes though. Dissimilarities in use becomes very apparent when referring to such a short timespan and as a result the quality of the statistics is poor. Lets say in one of your examples the display backlight was on 30 secs and in the other case 60 secs of those 3-4 minutes the statistics is referring to. That would make a big difference if the period of measure is 3 minutes whereas if you used statistics from right before recharging a drained battery small differences in use would be evened out by the larger timespan.

The most important thing for me is that, under the old firmware, my phone's battery lasts all day. Under the new firmware it doesn't.

I can also report that the battery life has improved greatly. I would recommend updating just for this alone. Battery time has been roughly doubled.
