Hi,

I'm trying to flash the firmware on my UK Orange K750i.
I have installed the USB Flash drivers, downloaded the necessary firmware and entered my logon details into the client.

When I select flash phone the client requests I "shortly press power button" and
following instructions, before connecting the phone I turn it off and hold down the C key as i connect it to the USB cable. However the phone then turns on and the client doesn't respond to the phone being connected. I am unable to have the phone connected to the computer and turned off at the same time.

what can I do?

thanks in advance, i've been helped a lot already reading these forums!

Jon

You are using the 13.8 client. To flash k750 with DCU60 cable (original cable) use K750 client!

How exactly does the davinci team manage to get firmware before SEUS releases it?

probably one of them has a contact who is an official SE service centre. They are normally issued with new firmware releases much sooner than they are released on SEUS.

Flashing is the process of putting new firmware on your phone - it is so-called because the firmware is stored on flash memory. Debranding is removing the stuff that certain phone companies put into the handset's interface (Vodafone Live! for example).

They purchase access to it. Anyone can do it. Have enough cash and access is yours. Why do you think they charge for it?

It is not magic.

just flashing does not unlock the phone

dcu60 does not support the unlocking

flashing debrands/brands, removes/introduces bugs, adds/removes features in the phone
