hey guys..
i absolutely love mobile agent, thanks so much for it
there's only a single feature i really miss: the ability to control the mouse through the phone. is that possible to do through VBScript? i did some pretty extensive research on the web, and although it seems to be possible, i couldn't manage to get it done...
can anybody help me with this, please?
thanks so much!

@ruler
The scripting event (keypad event, shown in earlier script example) provided by FMA does facilitate your wish for mouse move implementation. However to control a mouse, i don't think there are any ready scriptable COM available. Try to write one yrself, hehee.
@krishanbothra
I have no idea why is that "Set9wire" error appear, i got that error message only when i try to connect FMA to P800 and i didn't try to get it solved. Maybe other Win98 users could help? I can't remember if that 'Native IR is supported under Win98 or not, i think it doesn't.
You might want to create a virtual serial port for your IR connection and connect to the port.
@FredL
It is not possible to have T68i connect to 2 bluetooth device at the same time, but there is a hack posted earlier in this to first disconnect FMA first when after sending the dial string. However i didnt implement it.
@...
Hmm... is there a T200? Well, plz bear in mind that FMA is designed for T68i, or any other phone that the developer team member own (however although i own a P800, i don't have the time to make it work, yet). If it works for you then it is a bonus...
--
All implementation after v.0.09.5 is done by Crino and other team members, please redirect your (whatever) to them.
--
There are always opening for other developer to join the effort. If you are intrested, please don't hesitate to contact us.
--
I still receive at least 10 mails a week from new users reporting/asking work/not-working/how-to. Don't be mad if i didn't reply... i will only reply *intresting* mail, otherwise it is either /i don't know/search the forums/Ops Forgotten etc.
--
I will only see if i have Private Message if i post a message, so, do not PM me. Mail me instead, fma @ eflame.com

I'm having similar trouble with the volume control as mentioned in this post:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=3699&forum=17&start=203
Basically any command I send to the volume control results in everything getting muted.
Did anyone find a fix for this?
I'm running Windoze XP home edition and an "Avance AC97 Audio" sound card.
Thanks..

Brilliant software btw, very much impressed.
A few things though:
- It would be very useful if you could select numbers from the phone book when writing text messages with a drop down box or something.
- Even better would be a right-click option in the phone book for "send message", and then you have a pop-up dialog that allows you to select which of their numbers to send it to.
- An option to start the program on windows startup, and an option to start minimised would be very very useful!
- Don't know if you could do this, but on-screen caller display would be cool
Two bugs I've just noticed:
- It does minimise on startup, but if you have "connect on startup" enabled it shows the window as soon as it connects. It should stay minimised if it was already in the taskbar.
- When it is minimised to tray and opens after connect on startup (the previous bug), the minimise and close buttons do not work. The only way to get them to work is to right click on the tray icon and select restore (the tray icon is still present, instead of being removed at this point), after clicking restore, the tray menu dissapears and you can now use the close/minimise buttons.
I have it working with my mitsumi bluetooth adapter with billonton drivers (its using the com port option), just thought you'd like to know.
If you could implement these features, this software would be perfect!
Hope this helped...

Don't I feel stupid - you already have implemented on-screen notifications of calls and messages (which is exceptionally cool!).
And I just found you can right click on the names in the tree view to call or send messages to them - but it would be nice if you could do this in the main pane too |

One more thing, what *exactly* does auto-reconnect do?
I hoped that it would try to connect to the phone every min or so, but it doesnt semm to do that....
edit: now its started working......how odd!

The software seems to be excellent but actually the problem is that I'am using a Bluetooth USB adapter (D-link DBT-120) with this Mobile Agent and I can not get it working. No connection at all. Does anyone know the settings i need? please?
Cheers

You may need to connect a bluetooth serial port before it will work.
One other modifcation would be good:
- When you call someone using the phone itself and you are in range, the program maximises itself and pops up a little call in progress window. It would be better if only the small call in progress window opened, as its quite annoying to have the software popping up all the time. |

@float
this may sound a bit like heresy, but could you consider changing the meaning of fMA from float's mobile agent to fabulous mobile agent?
just a thought, considering that it's been crino who's active in the development, and most of us here had gotten used to saying fMA. Mobile Agent is just too long, and MA doesn't just have the ring in it
besides, this really is a fabulous program

@GoWin,
Good idea! In fact, i have been refering it to FMA rather then "floAt's Mobile Agent" latelly to disclaim onwership of this piece of program
Hmm... how about FMA as Free Mobile Agent, then i could come out with a PMA (Pay Mobile Agent) later? Hohoho!
Hey, i notice your avarta changed, sexy phone
@electrichamster
There are some fundamental design problem that i think we could just live with, it will just take too much time to solve
@JPR
The Volume Control problem is a known bug for some sound card and i will not solve it. The reason why i took the effort to make it scriptable is that there will be others that could work on it.
The volume control was just a two hours programing job that mean to use as a sample as i can't find other scriptable volume control around. The sourcecode for the volume control is also released in sourceforge and i was hoping if someone could improve it.
@Epedemic
It is working when you set baudrate to 9600 rite?
@T3xx users
T3xx does not support phonebook sync as far as i know. You will only have access to the read-only phone book (and editable sim phonebook). My guess is SE could have disabled it on purpose for not killing the market for other higher end phone.
Pure phone number based editing via AT command is possible to implement but it is up to any developer who want to put effort in it.
T3xx users has been increasing and i have been receiving mail about this sync problem.

haha free sounds good. now now one would ask where to pay for it. hehehe
or does anybody ask at all?
re my avatar
the t39 got boring. but, am beginning to have second thoughts about getting the t610 lately, and it is definitely not sexy. t68 is sexy, but i'd take the t39 any day.

I understand that it would take a while to implement the new features...but it would still be nice if you could fix a couple of the bugs i pointed out (they shouldn't be big changes, but I suppose it depends how you've coded it).
Namely:
- Window maximising on auto-connect when first starting
- Window minimise/close buttons not working when above happens
- Window maximising when call recieved/made
As I said, they shouldn't be big changes, and would make the program SO much more useful
Have you thought of having a donation button on the site? I'd be willing to pay a little, and people will often donate if they use the prog enough - at least they have when I've done that |
