vlive setting has its own default ip that's why you can use @trick,
while
internet.vodacom
doesn't have so we use dot trick,
but you can also use @trick in
internet.vodacom
if you put ip in its proxy settings. |

@Annigg
when using this live.vodafone.com@80.232.117.10:80
i get the following message
Error
An error occrred c:(msg:invalid hostname.ex=cd=4 resp=0host=live.vodafone.com@80.232.117.10:80).
and with my vodacom card with airtime on i get the following message using this settings live.vodafone.com.t9space.com/power/s/http/94.246.126.253:80
Error 502 502 Bad Gateway The server returned an invalid or incomplete response.
I wonder what they mean with that.
I tried different proxies but then i get an error about java exception.
like for example:-live.vodafone.com.t9space.com/power/s/http/layyit.com:80
but layyit.com in it's numerical form.
I keep getting these messages and i do not know what to do anymore and feel like giving up and you guys must be becoming frustrated |

on your first posted error posible reasons for that would be,
1.)
there is no ip/proxy in your setting, @trick is invalid if you don't use ip/proxy.
2.)
your phone uses only the apn and disregarded the ip/proxy which made the @trick invalid
about the second error possible reason would be
1.)
your using an ip/proxy that isn't suppose to have.
2.)
maybe t9space also blocked that om server.
Ok lets try sitnet said but i haven't tried it yet on om2.06
use no ip no port here/disable proxy setting
using internet
.vodacom
om server:
live.vodafone.com.server.operamini.com
that is
server.operamini.com
not
server4.operamini.com

yes i did check the first page and tried those.
@Cyborg let me try that quick and report back. I am posting this before i go try. Do i have to disable proxy in opera mini mod by selecting IN THE MOBILE DEVICE NULL? I am going to try it out quick but in the meantime report back if you get on before me |

I just tried what you said and no luck dude the live.vodafone.com.server.operamini.com give an message that there is a problem with my settings i must do a network test. It can't be my settings because i checked it in the original opera mini and it logged into the net with ease also using internet.vodacom.
I then tried using
live.vodafone.com.t9space.com/power/s/http/94.246.126.253:80
and this time i got the error message again but this time the resp=200 and not resp=0 |

Hey man, can I just ask one question: Do you have to use Opera Mini mod 2.06? Is there a specific reason?
Else why not just use Opera mini 4.2 or 5 beta 1 or 2 Handler? They work perfectly for me on Vodacom. Go HERE to download one of your choice (I recommend Opera mini 5 beta 2 for browsing and beta 1 for downloading).
After you have downloaded one, use these settings:
► Internet Profile: Internet.Vodacom
► Custom HTTP server: http://live.vodafone.com.server4.operamini.com:80/
► Front Query: live.vodafone.com.anongoogle.com/cgi-bin/nph-get.cgi/000000A/http/
The rest is blank. And type the settings EXACTLY like above, seriously, if you type just one character wrong it won't work. And yes the server should have a "http://" and the Front Query not.
Good luck :)

I'm just quickly going to pick up my guitar from the guitar shop, when I'm back I'll quickly make my own Jad and upload it. In fact I'll add a JAD link for all the apps in my Handler Mods thread. :)

Hey guys, been following this thread for a while now and thought that it's about time i try to contribute. Firstly thanks to all the guys on here. Using this info i now browse free.
Just in response to jad files, i had a phone a while ago that also needed jad files to install java apps. I remember using an app on my pc to create the jad files from the jar files. I don't quite remember the name but I think it was called jad maker. Here are a few links (did a quick google search):
softpedia.com link
mangokun.co.cc link
This site allows you to point to the jar file link address and then it should create the jad file from that:
mobilefish.com link
