AT&T stores to offer refurbished iPhones with new activations, $199 and $249

"Don’t want to pony up $399 for an iPhone? We just got word that AT&T is offering refurbished iPhones (with new activations only) for awesome prices! It’s $199 for the 4GB, (wait, 4GB?) and $249 for the 8GB. Let’s call that a steal, alright? Here’s the internal memo:

March 1, 2008

Refurbished iPhones at COR Stores. For a limited time, select COR stores in the New England Market will offer refurbished iPhones (both 4GB and 8GB) for a special price. These devices are good as new and give customers the opportunity to experience the revolutionary iPhone with big savings. New activations only, upgrades with Manager approval. Refurbished iPhones will only be available to purchase in select COR stores across the Northeast Region and will be available while supplies last. Please reach out to customers that have recently purchased an iPhone to see if they are interested in activating an additional iPhone at a discounted equipment cost. Please note no in-store sales materials should be created. This is to be sold as a closing tool only. Product is available while supplies last from initial shipment. Failure to follow this communication will result in a Code of Business Conduct violation

So there you have it! In our opinion, these are going to move pretty quick. Anyone out there going to take advantage of this deal?"

does anyone know why, when I install a summerboard theme using installer, it doesn't appear in the SMBprefs for me to select. All I seem to be able to do is uninstall it.

I have tried several without success

Yeah it must be. Plus I hope 3G will not be the only new added feature in the next iphone. At least a 3.2mp cam is also needed.

Yeah and I think they will definitely update the looks of it! Sure it looks nice, but you need to have evolution or you become a Motorola. Think of the iPod Nanos, and iPod Video/Classic. The Nanos especially have a very obvious evolution from glassy B&W through coloured metal to coloured metal and fat. The Video/Classic's evolution wasn't so obvious, but from the first iPod it had button changes to the clickwheel, and it got thinner and thinner and became glassy, before the current generation of Classics which are silver or black metal!

Anyway, that's a bit of a rant to justify my point. They won't just add a (very poorly done) camera to the front of the device, cause that looks $#!+.

I have been using iToner to transfer my ringtones over to my iPhone which works great but for some reason one of them will not play, all the others are fine. It is an mp3 and it works fine in iTunes and i can listen to it on the mac but once it has been transferred it won't play. Have taken it off and tried again without success, any ideas why?
