I found that my organsier version is R2A05 instead of R3A05 and tried to updated it. However, the updater showed that my software is up to date and no update is required. I do it anyway, but the version doesn't change.
Is there anybody can help the way to updated the organiser firmware only?

Have tried that too. When turning lenscover off the screen just gets white and nothing happens. Have waited for 2-3 minutes and then I have to restart. When I try the phone button and remove the lenscover it just says Initializing... forever and I have to do a restart. Shit Shit....No more suggestions? Do anyone have the same probelm?

Having exactly the same issue, tried reset, updating firmware etc. Anyone with anymore suggestions? |

I’m in trouble. Was helping a friend of my father update his 990, since he kept complaining that it was crap compared to the 910. I asked if he had updated his phone, he sad no and I offered to do it for him. Every thing went ok did the update and now the phone doesn’t turn on, just keeps flashing. I’ve tried deleting de software and installing again, even tried installing in different directory and nothing. I try the update the phone again and it tells me the phone his up to date. Any ideas out there? I would not like to be the guy that ruined a new 990.Thanks in advance. |

You had deleted the install files at the computer? And you have tried starting the phone both with and without the sim-card and memorystick in it?
Isn't there a way of forcing the SEUS to do the update? Anyone? Or is the "your phone is up to date" the final doom?

I had the same problem and solved it. You have to run again the update program, but you have to erase first, in your computer, everithing inside the file Sony Ericsson/Update Service/db. Good luck!!! |

I cant force it to update the phone tried couple of times, keeps saying no updates available. I did not try with out men card, will do now and post the verdict. Thanks for your quick answer |

I agree with gommace's opinion , but if it still didn't work, just take the phone to nearest SE Service and have them update the phone there.
Similar happened to my friend on his P910, we couldn't solve how to do it, so we took the phone to SE service and they fixed the phone in 30 minutes.
But in some countries it will take SE 2-3 days only to see what is wrong with the phone, I would call the SE service and tell them the importance of matter, maybe they will help you very quickly.

No luck. I get a message that the device connect to the usb port has malfunction and I cant force the update it keeps telling me “no updates available”. I will take the phone to my home and give it a try. Once again thanks for the quick answers guys appreciated |

Hey there,
Based on what the rumors are, there seems to be a firmware upgrade approximately every two weeks. Someone else said (maybe on the My-Symbian forum) that there was one due on the 29th. That's one day, so let's hope some people have good news to report starting tomorrow about it!
I just hope to be able to use Agile Mobile without it conking out when I try to send a smiley or access a menu item!
