From Sony Ericsson:
"This update will be gradually rolled out across our markets over the coming weeks, pending the completion of quality approvals for individual markets and operators. The first updates are now live across selected markets. Please check with your local Sony Ericsson customer support when the upgrade will be available for your market and network."

I've gone back to R1FA016 in order to save my battery. The power drain under R2BA020 was ridiculous. I took a photo of the newer firmware's effects before downgrading:
And here's the battery status on R1FA016 after the downgrade:
ROFL!!! You do realize that you just proved that the old firmware was killing your battery far more, right? |

If he disable the face recognition service he would save more battery on the old firmware than the newer firmware even if he didnt he still save more due to the fact that lcd use way too much power on the newer firmware [ This Message was edited by: DrewVL on 2010-07-04 09:03 ] |

Those shots only show percentage. It's impossible to say from percentages like that what is really happening.

I think its better for the phone to consume less power during standby. |

Battery is phenomenal on this phone, better than even my Aino.
Unplugged the phone at 89% charge and it's still at 40%. I have listened to some music over bluetooth for about 4 hours.

On the new firmware my battery ran down by 8% every hour. On the old firmware it runs down at a rate of 2-3% per hour. How is the old firmware is killing my battery more? At the time of taking the photo more services were running, but the battery was behaving much better.
@Ricky: Yes, they only show percentages. However, I don't really care what's going on in the background, I just want to get through a whole day without charging my phone up two or three times! I understand others are having better luck with the new firmware, but not everyone has the same experience. Similarly, some complained that they had bad battery life under the old firmware, whereas I didn't.
