Does anyone else have problems with their c905 and battery life? This is the 3rd c905 i have had now due to the various problems, all my others lasted around 2 days, with this one it only last’s for 15hours! With no calls, occasionally texting and internet use, surely this is not right!? |

I think the battery must proceed some time to get full capacity... |

Hi
Yes i am aware that the battery takes a few cycles to reach full life, but it’s been 2 weeks now, and on all the other models they had they had 2 days usuage out of the box, surely though, with 15hours battery there must be a problem somewhere.

I had a similar problem with battery life, you need to make sure the Wi-Fi is off and that the GPS is disabled. That stopped the battery getting drained so quickly for me.
I don't know why they have the GPS enabled by default. |

I agree with turning wi-fi off when not in use. That got me too; I assumed it'd behave like my iPod Touch and not drain power unless you were actively using it. Wrong! I was so pleased that I realised it could last > 24 hours when I found out that this was the cause and turned it off.
At the moment the intermittent vibrating problem is annoying me. It seems to be random whether it decides to vibrate for a call/text/flash menu item change. The service test confirms the randomness!

OK, I think it's time to say goodbye to Sony Ericsson.
I'm very very very disappointed.
It's not because of BROD, cracking keypad, soft touchkey problem, keypad problem, woobly slider, pinkish camera, crap video recorder, etc.
It's only because of the very basic in a so-called phone : earpiece.
Today I got many problems with some people thanks to Sony Ericsson's earpiece masterpiece in a flagship phone.
Goodbye.
the video isnt bad? this is a video of my cat and it isnt bad considering, im just starting to get the hang of the camera http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=U0JoJMvSLAI |

Oh no. All of a sudden I cannot hear the other party voice when I answer calls yet they can hear me talk! Did I accidentally mute something, any options? If not seems like I need to send it for servicing.

Cute cat! Video is good. After playing with an N95 8GB for a few weeks I've gotta say it's camera is way over hyped. Even the video is quite poor quality. VGA doesn't improve it because the colour is so bad and the compression is so high any movement fuzz's out to a blur.
I'm really looking forward to the day I can afford the C905. SE camera phones always have better camera's than Nokia. It's not necessarily in the technical doublespeak (for example they don't brand generic lenses as "Carl Ziess", they don't focus on VGA res video rather they concentrate on overall quality etc)

Glad to see ya back. Aw man, just for saying those things about Carl Zeiss lenses, you will probably get yourself trolled. |

Thanks for the welcome back. I've been around here and there, but too busy to post much!
I've got nothing against Carl Zeiss at all (Sony use REAL Carl Zeiss lenses in their cameras), just saying SE's only marketing trick is to use cybershot, which isn't dishonest at all - SE camera phones are the best in their class and deserve the cybershot tag.
The lenses Nokia use are not made by Carl Zeiss. They are third party lenses BRANDED as Carl Zeiss. In other words, Nokia paid Carl Zeiss for the rights to use the Carl Zeiss name.

Lol. If only I can get a well-documented proof of that. Would be quite a jab against some people

True.
I wouldn't be surprised at all tbh. I'm quite sure they are just branded - Nokia camera phone's just aren't good enough to match the Carl Zeiss name.
