Yes. People always want more ram and rom. However, 4GB RAM is pretty enough for most of the task. I am using XZ1 and that 3GB RAM is already done a good job. System optimization is more important. 64GB rom maybe not enough if you play games and record HDR video but you can put micro sd. That also how Samsung advertises their note9.
Memory price is expensive lately because of the price control and demanding. SONY love bulk buying. They brought large volume at once for lowering the price. So, I expect they will put 64GB for XA series and 128GB for XZ series next year.
If more brand release 4k phone, the sales of Premium series will drop? or stay? |

You mean the sidesense? That's not DT2W.I searched the display settings thoroughly.
I hope I'm wrong and other units have it cause it's the reason I'm keeping my XZ.

That mean nothing... Just a people (hater?) said something bad to Bucks and XZ3. That XZ3P is not the main point here.
I think the next premium phone will be that mystery/anniversary phone if it exist. |

That actually not named as DT2W. It should be "Smart Wake" or "Smart On" (I just translate from that picture.) It should be turn on the AOD I guess.

In my opinion, if Sony had not made XZ2 Premium and instead put double cam on XZ3, it would have made a bigger impact in terms of sales. XZ3 is getting positive reviews, because of it looks and OLED screen, more than XZ2 family. The $1000 price mark for ZX3 with dual-camera would have been more reasonable. |

Nope. Xz3 won't look good if it has dual camera with aube because aube and dual camera takes lots of space that's why they decided to abandon it IMO |

True. Can't imagine XZ3 with Dual cam. I will say impossible to made it. I can happen if they make it flat. Let see what they do on XZ4. Highest chances to get dual cam.
If they put dual cam in XZ3 first, it violated the concept on Premium. That is getting the latest newest tech from SONY. |

If other manufacturers can put more into a smaller footprint why cant sony do the same?
Sony managed to get at least 80% stb by adopting oled tech which is a great news.
They have to implement bigger batteries and put dual cam too on their flagship |

Because other manufacturers dont use a dedicated ISP like AUBE, which is a big chipset for a phone. |

It wont happen unless they turn screen into speakers to save space.
XZ3 has 80.6%, of screen, this because the dual edge, also bigger scrern compard to xz2 and bottom bezel is shorter than top.
Phones with front speakers cant have less bezel than phones with spaker beside usb.
Also the front camera. It is 1/3". Most use 1/4" ( half size, not counting whole module but just sensor).
Months ago someone ( maybe Joseph) posted about 80% screen phone.
According to Buks, a 4K oled phone probably just for IFA 2019. |
