K750 / W800 Firmware Overview |

I tried to upgrade but seus say that i have t latest version but i have r1n0035!! how can it be t last? Is orange still distributing this old one or seus is getting crazy? Is tehre any way to understand if my mobile is actually branded orange through imei code?

I have updated my K750i for 7 times-updating and reupdating for the sake of 'understanding' how the system works- by using SEUS..it's unbranded..never encountered problems. R1BC002 is the best so far..maybe the final F/W before the successors K790/K800 are released. Despite minor bugs many Esato forummers posted here,this F/W absolutely pleases most people.. |

My w800 still keeps crashing out saying the update failed. I have real problems with the phone justs switching to camera mode at random without the lens cover even being open. The phone is so flaky at the moment that I guess I will have to take it in to my nearest Carphone warehouse. Unless anyone here can offer a DIY solution that is... |

I have to say that I strongly disagree with what you say. R1N035 was one of the buggiest firmwares, wheras R1BC002 is one of the best.
In my opinion the best firmwares have been R1A044 (the first, but it was great as long as you didn't experience the standby crashes that some phones were prone to), R1L002 (very good apart from having lower quality video) and R1BC002 (probably the best so far).
If anyone is considering upgrading their firmware I would suggest they look at the first post and judge for themselves whether a updating to a new firmware is worthwhile.

Can I ask a silly question? I am about to update my k750i to latest firmware but I wanted to know - will my local language I have now in my phone remain there after the update, or the new software will offer only languages it has? |

I'm with you - BT seems better in R1BC - overall much better though my phone recently said insert sim after undocking. Looks like this and joystick are getting tired.

hey guys i have a problem...
i dowloaded update service and tried to update to R1BC002 (i was formerly running R1A008)... however the update didn't complete and it displayed "error reading script" (im not sure bout the exact words but it was something about scripts)... and so i unplugged and checked my phone if i ruined it... to my surprise when i checked the software it now displays R1BC002 and i also noticed the KB to MB memory display change... so i thought that the update procedeed after all... but just to make sure, i ran update service again hoping that it will say "you have the current software, no new update available or whatever".... however it still procedeed and asked me to update... so i procedeed... however towards the end it said "failed to update unplug cable and restart again"... i repeated this about 3 times and got the same result.... im just wonderring what i did wrong... if my phone displays R1BC002 (and everything works fine btw) shouldn't the update service just tell me i have the latest software?!? i hope someone can enlighten me about this.... also im just wondering about the software details...

im bothered by the customization... why does it say R1AA008? shouldn't it be already changed to R1BC002? or is this becuase my update didn't proceed into completion? if so, any fixes? i think SEUS is down right now as it constantly says "The service is unavailable at the moment. Please try again later" ... im sory if i have so many questions... im just making sure that i didn't ruin my phone! i hope you guys can help me out! thanks! |

make a backup copy of ur phone(preferebly with MyPhoneExplorer),
do a master reset(a hard master reset,i.e.:"Reset All")
update again with SEUS
it defienitly works.

so THERE IS something wrong with my phone? but how come i can use it normally and seem to have gained the 'updates' of the latest software? in anyway i'll try what you said and hope for the best!
EDIT: SEUS is still down... it still gives me the unavailable at the moment thingy... what could be the problem with SEUS?...

with the previous version SEUS i was getting the message, latest software already installed. I click continued but still r1a software.
So i have downloaded the newest SEUS version and when i have to connect the phone to the computer and hold c it doesnt go to the next step.
Instead my computer picks it up as a new device( same thing that happens when you plug in a usb device for first time)
Why is this happening, anyone help me? Please???
