The amount of people that are losing their shit about the XZ3 only having 4gb of RAM is insane, looks like people have forgotten that appart from Apple Sony are pretty much the best at hardware optimisation. If your in doubt check out the long term review on GSM arena for the XZ2. They basically admit that it's the only phone that gets close to the Google Pixel 2 in terms of a buttery smooth Android experience and they've done long term reviews of phones with 6 and 8gb of RAM respectively and again the XZ2 beats the majority of the competition in real world use so I've absolutely no doubt that the XZ3 will be even better!
I'm so happy 'cause today I've found my friends ... They're in my head

Then answer the question why there's 6GB RAM model ?
The most ridiculous part is not the RAM anyway. Offering 64GB storage this year and with expensive price is really ridiculous !!

Anyone have any news on any upcoming Sony Earbuds? Namely the successor of WF series. 3hrs batt life on the current one is a no go for me. Been hoping for a successor at IFA but I guess not. |

Nothing so far, even the new WF-SP900 still offer rather poor battery life and probably use the old qualcomm BT SoCs, so if anything I would imagine next year CES 2019 for anything new but then Sony could delay it till next year's ifa as well.

(Rumor)
Samsung Display will supply 4K OLED from the first half of 2019.
Samsung will use at Galaxy Note 10
Oppo, Sony, Huawei, Vivo also already make a contract.
Oppo may be launch 4K OLED phone earlier than Note 10.
Sony and Huawei also plan to launch a flagship in the second half.
Lenovo, Xiaomi, Google is under negotiation. but they are facing difficulties because of unit cost

---
Next Premium (XZ4 Premium?) could be 4K OLED instead of 4K LCD.
or whole XZ4 could be OLED |

Except the mark 3 use the old CSR8675 which only supports up to BT 4.2. The custom chip sony used is only for ANC or helping with ANC since the CSR8675 already has built in ANC into it.

Those should be discussed in the 2019 rumours. Someone has to start that thread. |

I like the way they are taking with the XZ3, there are many people who disagree, but they forget that Sony Mobile's profits are the lowest
Fortunately for Sony, it has a lot of in-house technology available.
There are people who think that Sony could only cost $ 5 to have more memory. This is completely false, in the current market the prices of the memories are very high, everyone wants memories, every phone manufacturer, each manufacturer of computers and consoles and more, from there, consider how many devices these companies produce. Each year it is more difficult to provide the volume of memories.
if you were a memory manufacturer, who do you prefer to sell more volume? to Apple for their iPhone or to Sony
Obviously you give preference to Apple, and Sony probably does not want to risk too much. |

Yeah but if I pay a premium price for the phone I want to have good specs like other flagships. It is incredibly stupid by Sony to only have 4GB of RAM and they will lose a ton of sales because of it. How many people know they have good hardware optimisation? |

I had a short hands on with XZ3. There is no double tap to wake in screen settings. |
