Arh not good. You sure XP doesn't have the drivers built in?, I know that nearly all 56k modems are in there....

Well apparantly not all DSL modem drivers! Actually installed XP a few months back just to give it a try & it didn't work .

Is it best for the modem to aquire its own IP address or manual input? When I select automatic & gives me a totally different Ip addy than with the old modem & doesn't work. If I enter the addy I have in my old modem It doesn't work either!

Mornin. I've got a bastard hang over, but worse than that, old trusty t68 is broke! I can still text and sure the wapwap but i can't make normal calls! Wtf an i gonna get to replace it?

Kev it is still under warranty isn't it so u should be ok but it will probably need to be sent away like mine did (for 4 damn weeks) anyway best not dwell on it...
a sw update may sort it though?

Kev - if it is under warranty you may be able to walk it to a repair centre and have it fixed for free. a lot of carphone warehouses will offer a repair service in store even if you didn't buy it from them. you can still get it repaired if it's out of warranty but obviously they'll charge you. a lot of repairs can be done on the spot.
what have you done to it?
they don't make them like they used to |
