I had recently brought in my phone to repair by my local technician (not sony ericsson) and the problem for the broken earpiece was because of faulty wiring connecting the earpiece to the phone. He ordered new wires and now it works perfect! |

Turn the phone over and tap it onto your hand. The battery will fall out. |

So the news about SE running out of earpieces in stock means a national shortage of wires...?

I just checked and mine is a week 50 model.
Hopefully its from a improved batch.
I noticed that the slide is quite soft as in it slides quite easily. When texting or dialing, the phone slides in my hand a bit. Guess I have to get used to it or is it meant to be harder?

hi im on my 3rd c905 now.
the first one had the earpiece go and buttons go stiff, the second i dropped down the toilet!
the third one i have had 4 days, and noticed the slide is loose, as it i can wiggle it side to side, its annoying when pressing buttons as it moves about, how common is this! i just wish they could improve the build quality of this phone! btw mine is week 46 |

Well I got my K850i two moths after release in 2007. It broke 6 months into use so it had been out months and they still never got it right.
It looks like the C905 will be another hit and miss. What other new 8MP phones are due this year I might hold off?
The current Samsung's lack Wi-fi and good camera flashes.

Were there other 5MP phones in 2008 other than the K850?

Its frustrating reading about the slider issue still. Does anyone not have this problem with their C905?

Yep, mine wobbles to the left. A bit annoying, but I'm gradually getting used to it.
Funny thing is, a friend of mine got an Ice Silver version and hers is rock-solid. Ah, the envy...

The C902 was a poor phone. |

Ugh, that wasn't my point. And besides, there was the W902 as well.
PS. I rather find the c902 nice.

finally got me a new replacement 905 (waited 4weeks+ when sent to repair.. complained and they sent a new one instead)
this one is from 08w53...let's hope this one is better...slide is a bit loose/wobbly at closed position...doesn't bother me at moment..
