You will need either a DSS-20 or DSS-25 to upgrade. A USB cable wont work.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose  |

I have just updated my S700i at SEUS with fw R3M, but the phone still reboots! Example? Incoming call, not possible to answer, then automatically in missed calls. When I called this number from missed calls, the phone reboots. I am tired. Bye, bye S700i....

No need to post the same thing in both threads. It would appear that everyone here, other than you is aware of the problem with the s700i rebooting. I suggest you go back over to the s700i rebooting thread to get up to date.

I just upgraded to R3M to see if it would fix SSL email issues - previously caused phone to lock up when sending/receiving email from SSL accounts and never worked. With latest R3M firmware, it now appears to be working with SSL email without any issues (yippee).
It would be good if SE included a list of changes/fixes associated with formware levels - but for now, I'm happy ...

So gmail is working now? Mine with R3K004 worked with some SSL mail accounts but not with Gmail.

Does anyone know what the CDA should be for the EU_3 languages (includes Danish, Dutch, German, French, English).
Long story short: I had a S700 from Hong Kong, SEUS f**ked up the firmware and I had to use Davinci to get it to work again. I'd like to use English and Dutch though, and I can get the right FS file on my phone, but not the right main firmware. So if anyone has EU3, please let me know what CDA you have.... thanks! |

If you went to SE, why didn't you ask them before hand to set the language pack? It is now like closing the barn door after the horse is gone. You will probably need to have your phone flashed again to set the language you need.

You might want to go to the SE Service Center and have them set the languages you want. They might want to charge you for it though.

I saw the CDA list that JGRob posted, used Davinci to change the CDA to CDA102300/18 (which should be for EU3). As CDA revision I entered R2A, model S700i, language variant name EU_3. It went through, now it doesn't turn on anymore (it gets stuck in the "select language" startup screen). I tried to use SEUS now, but that says my operator doesn't allow me to use it. But it was an unlocked phone in the first place!
Could anyone please help me out, and tell me how I can get my phone back to life? Please? |

Upgraded from R3K004 to R3M008 using SEUS:
- a faster pictures preview in the file manager
- gmail now works!!!
- an incredibly faster file transfer rate from PC to the phone using bluetooth. I had only 15 kB/sec on R3K, now 32-34 kB/sec on R3M! Some people report about 45 kB/sec speed (I think it depends on a bluetooth dongle)
