I'm not complaining at all. I'm just surprised. You're just the one bitching at me.

Dude, as I said, I am not trying to pick a fight with you but if you go back and look at most of your posts, as well as a few othesr, they comprise a complaint-fest. Mwarner was nice enough to start this thread which started out with bugs and issues and turned into a complaint burial ground with you and a select group of others doing most of the complaining. And yes, I and a few others have expressed how annoying it is getting. Like I also stated, there is nothing you, nor me, nor anyone can do to make SE hurry up and post an update to repair the outstanding bugs. The key difference is that not every post we tend to post is aimed at expressing our displeasure. If having the k800i is really that big a hassle and disappointment, why don't you take it back, save yourself some heart ache and the rest of us from hearing how "disappointed" you are. You act like your k800i is the only one going through these growing pains. We are all in the same boat.

How about this, complain away. I will not comment again. I think after a review the facts speak for themselves.

I probably won't be complaining anymore either. It's just how the way life with this phone goes, so might as well live with it. Although you may not have liked it, the thread's nature guarantees some posts with people complaining. In my opinion, its a F/W thread, and people complain about the bugs to point them out. Although the complaint factor could be left out, well, it's hard to especially for a device so expensive.

Hope that the R1CE004 or whatever firmware somebody mentioned is real. Can't wait.

You misunderstood. I am with you in regards to wanting new f/w. Hell complain away and I will be right there with you if they do not get it right when they release it. However, it appears that something is in the works and it should not be much longer if the post from the other person is viable. However the fact that he will not post his link or his source makes his info highly suspect.

So which firmware is currently the most stable? I tried to go thru this thread but it was mostly people's complaints so i gave up.

With only really one firmware out, that would be my pick for most stable

But if it is true that a new firmware will be out in a week, then maybe hold your breath for that one.

@mroach
Can you please provide a link to the PDF you quoted from, host the full list somewhere, or create a new thread where you paste all changes?
People won't mind. Cheers.

Just a note that the link you posted above leads to a post by MRoach about a 30 page changelog. MRoach posted the same details here as he / she did in the linked post but in both has said he is unable to post the changelog or link to the original file.

As he / she is the only person i have seen discussing the release and changelog of the new firmware i wont hold my breath but only time will tell. Just dont get your hopes up guys and girls in order to avoid the huge volume of moan posts if it doesnt get released next week.

The numbering of that release, "R1EB00" is a bit strange IMHO. What happened to R1DXX? There is a huge step in revision numbers missing, from R1CF. And the number ending with 00 does not make sense either, since it's supposed to end with a sequence number starting at 1, 01, or 001.

The major release numbering is R1, R2, R3, etc, Minor releases in between majors are R1A, R1B, R1C, etc, until R1Z, and then it continues with two chars, R1AA, R1AB, R1AC, etc. and between each minor release, there are adjustment levels like R1A01, R1A02, R1A03, etc, very similar to the more common 1.2.3 version notation. (If you wonder what the R stands for, it's for "Released". Before the version is released, it's "P" instead, like P1CF001)

And I don't believe that K800 and K610 share the same firmware.

So, sorry, but I think this is nothing but a hoax.

Hmm, R1CB001 is the best, then. Why thinking of a new R1EB00 something when it's simply a cheap rumour..anyway 30 pages changelogs? Are they trying to change K800 to K900? Lol..
