HALLELUJAH!
I was able to get BLUETOOTH working again on my R3A T68i Wohoo.. It has to do with forcing a wipe of the AVR by giving it a 2 MEG NULL file, then forcing it to take the original backup AVR file..
Don't know if it will work for other people but it sure save my phone's bluetooth.

@funks
great to hear you got your BT working again on that R3A.
I am wonder how did you come up with the NULL file?
I have also read on a manual, that states AVR holds the functions of the phone, and ARM is for stuff like IR, and BT. Below is what it states:
Some flashing tips and what is “AVR CPU” and “ARM CPU”
Inside new ‘original brand’ SonyEricsson phones there is two processors (CPU’s). One is Main CPU and this is AVR chip, and the second is Modem CPU and this is ARM chip.
The Main CPU (AVR chip) is holding almost all phone functions, including language packs available. The Modem CPU (ARM chip) take care of Infrared communications (IRDA), Bluetooth and Data/Fax functions.
On ‘non original’ SonyEricsson phones (this are A3618 and R600) there is only one Main CPU (an ARM chip). Also on latest models ‘original brand’ T200 and T300 the Modem CPU (ARM chip) is no more present.
When flash a phone, usually is enough to flash the Main CPU (AVR chip). The Modem CPU (ARM chip) is needed to be re-flashed only when upgrade T68m to T68i or when make major version upgrade (e.g. from R2A to R5D or so on). If there is any error in “Connect” or “WAP services” menus, or if phone hang-up when try to enter any of this menus, a flash update for Modem CPU (ARM chip) is needed. Also the Modem CPU need to be upgraded if there is any errors in Bluetooth functionality. In all other cases, the Modem CPU no need to be upgraded.
Well, I hope that helps a little, I am very tempted to flash my R4C with ARM only from one of those flashes that reported to work.
I am also looking for a R5 version of firmware that has English and Simplified Chinese language, I hope somebody will dump one.
Other than that big thanks to all who put money/time/enegry into this issue. |

Was up all night trying to get my phone back thankfull that the restore got it back.
As for the NULL files - the file were simple to make
dd bs=2k count=4096 if=/dev/zero of=T68i-AVR.bin
http://www.pocketbuddy.com/gdaswani/T68i-NULL-AVR.bin
dd bs=2k count=1024 if=/dev/zero of=T68i-ARM.bin
http://www.pocketbuddy.com/gdaswani/T68i-NULL-ARM.bin
BTW, if you guys have the original firmware for your phone (if you backed up), you can also flash the phone using the "KILLAVR" method (to restore BT functionality) and use the your BACKUP AVR file as the file source.. (Just make sure losFile.bin is still there and has a full record on the "recover" button just in case)..
[KILLAVR METHOD]
KILLAVR
Start 0000-0000
Length 0080-0000
Pick your backup AVR file then FLASH SW
after doing so
flash your ARM chip with the NULL ARM file (check the link).
Flash ARM chip
Start 0000-0000
Length 0020-0000
Turn on the phone and do a master reset (phone will still be buggy in said mode and master reset probably won't finish, just turn it off after two minutes)
Re-Flash your ARM chip again with your BACKUP ARM file
Flash ARM chip
Start 0000-0000
Length 0020-0000
See if BT works..
Unlocking has the Version 7 of the client available for download now, dunno how well it works as I used 6.52.

Funks,
Just have a brief look at the EC V7 and I believe the V7 remove the support of IMEI change. |

Hey, on your last post on the mishap with the latest flashes, were bt and ir turned off? Did you do a master reset?

Hi,
I messed up my R6B t68i when flashing to R5C001. Here's the thing: I don't know if Bluetooth was turned off. I normally keep it in Automatic mode, and it may have been left there. I did NOT do a master reset. I was kind of thinking that it didn't matter, since all the settings were going to be overwritten anyway.
What I did do was backup the firmware. Using Funks' method, it seems I could have fixed it, but the phone's gone to a better place.
I don't know whether or not it's important to do a master reset or turn off Bluetooth, but I certainly do them now. One thing I've noticed is that if you turn off Bluetooth before doing the master reset, the phone is back in Automatic mode after the reset. So, turn off Bluetooth AFTER the master reset.

Hi
Anyone succeeded in flashing a T68 H/W and S/W R1B to R5D without BT and battery problems? If so, what software did you use and where did you buy your logs? And where did you get the firmware?
Also, how can I know if my T68 is m or mc? At the back it is written T68m but in the menu language I can see English and Chinese.
Please help.
Thanks |

Funks,
I noticed the version 7 from unlocking as well but is this the real thing though? I checked the gsmhacking.com, they still have 6.55 as the lastest client and most of log-sellers i know use version 6.51 and 6.52..... |

danroyea..another thing..it doesn't sound like the fw belonged to me. My were R5D007_ESF named..and the talk time sounded high as well as the joystick count...you might want to clear this up with funks...if you want, there is another place I put the files...let me know and you can have the direct download path. But really, I don't think I put any T68m stuff up there, I'm really not interested in t68m stuff, just t68i and R5D007 in diff language sets. Let me know.

AV,
Those T68m-R5D007 files were just re-zipped from your zip files.. I'll re-download them again from the orig site and make it available as is.
Your T68m came from one2one right?

Interesting test results.
Flashing the phone with a NULL AVR - resulted in a phone that won't turn on, nevertheless, I was still able to reflash the AVR using the KILLAVR method (even though it looked dead, and should have been dead).
Notes, on the KILLAVR method -
If you KILLAVR load your phone using your BACKUP, you won't really need the losFile.bin (as the AVR file has the GDFS settings embedded in)
If you KILLAVR load your phone using a different FIRMWARE, you need to have an IMEI record in your losFile.bin (FULL mode), then do a "recovery" by chosing your IMEI on the recovery tab.
