They wanted to make a pseudo-sport phone for young people and they achieved the goal, high capacity batt is needed for young people to be 'always online', coz they do like to play games and talk, which are taking big part of the batts' energy. Is the standby and speaking time shown when sliding the volume button? My has r3a01 fw and doesn't seem to show the batt info.

No, the sticker says that it's made in Malaysia, but the s//n and imei are chinese(i.e. two letters in s//n are CB, while they are BD for Malaysia, 6th and 7th digits are 63, what's also says that the phone was produced in China). BTW didg you know that almost all facias for eri phones were produced in China or Latin America?

Picked up two DECT Ericsson Cordless Handset DT 200's.
Booklet says 1998 in it.
Both are mint and unused although boxs have a couple creases in.
I don't have the base stations for these phones, sorry!
Wonder if they'd be any use to anyone?

Yeah, thought I could retire my corded Batman phone and use one of these and sell another one but it seems it is not the case without the base station!

just got my 2nd ericsson circa 1999 downwards. an Ericsson ga 628.
It is in very good condition same as with the sh888 I have bought from ebay.Good thing with these units, no problem with the supply of class a batteries. I was supposed to get an Ericsson ga 628 made in sweden (year 99). However it bogged down after a few hours of use. The seller replaced with the ga 628 made in malaysia (y98w29). The audio was still superb and even the class a battery (an ultra slim) offerred around 2 days with average use of calls and text.
@boba, gurus,moderators
Since we are preserving these
ericsson thread, can a resourceful moderator/person include ALL Ericsson models as avatar so we could replace it. What if I would like to change my r600 avatar to a sh888(of which is not included in the list)...moderators please help. Very much appreciated your assistance.
