As far as Twitter is concerned

What version of Android is Twitter for Android available for?
The Twitter for Android app is available for phones running Android 2.1 and above. The other versions (1.5, 1.6) won't work with Twitter for Android. If you have an earlier Android version, you can use our Android-optimized mobile website at http://mobile.twitter.com

C'mon SE get 2.2 now can't wait for 2.1 till Sept-Dec. I need Froyo

no its a google thing.

The same happened from 0.14 to 0.16.

It took a while, then google gave free the new firmware on itīs servers. Aferwards you were able to see all the apps.

In the meantime, you had to backup your apps with e.g. Astro, works perfect for me, and these which you couldnīt backup, you can find them easily in the big internet.

Best wishes Mav

Strange...because if both of us have the new update and if it isn't country related, i don't understand why i CAN see them and why he can't, i have no problems with those apps, can see and install them.

Dude you won't believe what I just found. There are threads and discussion over this issue on Android Market Forum.
http://www.google.com/support[....]bel?lid=7dc8a5c590cd22ee&hl=en

I've posted mine too. Let's see what google has to say. Infact am also going to e-mail them to know more about this. This is not a good thing!

EDIT: I just received an e-mail from Google.

Dontae has posted an answer to the question "Can't find several apps on market":

Hi anandchitalia,

Some applications are only available in specific areas. Pandora Radio, for example, is only available in the US.

Please reach out to the developer with any additional questions.

Cheers,
Dontae

So to get to the bottom line, I found the download link of Pandora Radio
http://pandora.android.s3.amazonaws.com/pandora.apk

Now I transfered the file to SD card and tried to open it says could not be loaded. Do I have to transfer the file in any specific folder?

rjs675 posted this in the x10 mini thread. Thanks.

service menu:

When phone is locked, push a button until you see the prompt to unlock the phone.

From the unlock screen:

1 time menu button (left button)
2 times back button (right button)
1 time menu button
1 time back button
2 times menu button
1 time back button

Service menu will appear. Credit rjs675.

Go to the service menu and test the speaker, it's erm, interesting ha ha.

Just updated mine.

Much, much smoother. A lot quicker and snappier now. Will post back on the battery life.

They've also fixed the issue where the phone would lock after ending a call when you'd unlocked the phone to make it. That was very annoying.

Speaker volume seems to be the same.

you were expecting them to say something else? seemed quite normal to me! haha... j/k.

I'm pretty jealous i'm not able to get any updates. I love my X10, but these new features and better performance people are talking about make me want the update!

Hi all just downloaded the update via WiFi. Took 12 mins to download and less than ten to install. Agree with all that's been said. Everything seems smoother /quicker. Only just started but feels great, even more noticeable than .14 - .16. Also agree that OTA is good as no data loss.Am on generic UK thanks to debrand thread on here.

Just to be clear I am now on FW 1.6, Baseband 1.1.25, Kernel version 2.6.29-rel semc-android@SEMC2 2

Do any of you see many other people with an X10? Which colour do you see the most often?

I was last back in the UK in April and didn't see anyone but I guess it's because most of the networks still hadn't picked up their stock and now I'm in China where the X10 isn't officially on sale and so my chances of seeing one are even slimmer. Saying that, I went into a mobile phone market last week and saw a display model asked to look at it and it was a Japanese model with the Japanese model on the back.

Hmm, if what's in that link is true, maybe they really are going to be releasing an R2 update for the X10a at some point. Based on the dates associated with those R2 firmwares on that site, it looks like they're still making a lot of changes to the firmware (since they keep coming up with newer versions), so perhaps that's why us NAM users haven't seen an update yet. Hopefully soon though, I'm not prepared to wait much longer for this.

Hi!

Just got my X10 this morning. I bought it from a person that had tested it before he sent me it. Now when im trying to start it up all I get is a "error-triangle" in front of a black x10 on the screen.

Does anyone have a clue what to do or whats wrong?

This might be a very lame question but I need to figure it out.

What is Rooting X10 and does it void my warranty issues?

@Indiandawg Rooting your X10 will give you root access meaning you can do more advanced customisation and allow certain apps from the market to do fancy stuff. As far as I'm aware it will void your warranty just as flashing your firmware with anything other than the firmware it came with will void your warranty.

@xironghostx sounds bad, try reflashing the firmware using SEUS if that doesn't fix it then it's probably hardware related. Think about asking questions of the seller who says he tested it before he sent it you. For my money unless it's tested in front of my eyes or by the factory it came from it's not really tested.
