Well essentially yes.
The Ray was basically a flagship device in a physically smaller frame. The SX was in the same boat.
Referring to the SX and the upcoming phone as the "Ray 2" and "Ray 3" is merely for convenience, because there ain't much else we could use to describe them. |

Exactly THATS my point.
IMO you can't describe that way. It's create a wrong projection of the coming things.
There's no legacy, no "ray" still glow.

Well damn... if this turns out to be true then I will have to reconsider my plan to buy the ZL next month. No sense in doing so if a clearly superior phone is only a couple months away.
Now a lot has been said about what will be in the One Sony, but I think we should also ask what will NOT be in it. So what tech are we anticipating for other2H phones that won't be in One Sony? |

Nothing. AFAIK all the tech will only be in One Sony. I've heard it is water resistant + has IR blaster as well. |

so it seems like that all the Sony phones coming out in the rest of the year will be with 5" screen? If you want something smaller, you'll have to settle for low specs or the C550X Dogo which appears to have good specs and a 4.7" screen. Is that right? |

These rumored specs make me all warm and tingly inside 
In addition to them, for the rumored $1000 or so price range I would hope to see 64 to 128 gigs of on-board memory, a shutter button,, and a display whose quality is good enough that no one could complain about it. It would be cool if it could have the stylus of the phablet too, but I suppose that won't happen. It would also be interesting if this phone also had some sort of drop rating just like it has a water and dust rating, but that might be asking too much. Wireless charging would also be great.
Another thought occurs to me. If the phone will be thicker to accomodate the bigger camera, that means they should have more space for a far larger battery too. Any info on whether they are going for a monster battery in this bad boy?
If they can put all of the above into a single phone then I would gladly pay $1000 for such a beast. Hopefully I could get it subsidized by my carrier though.

3000mah is not too shabby as the s800 processor is supposed to be more energy efficient than s4 pro or s600, plus a white magic display should conserve power too.
Also, forgot to add to my wish list above that I hope for a xenon flash too. If they are making such a beastly phone with a kickass camera, it must have a xenon flash! |
