Hey y'all, happy easter1. @senisho- btw vmobile gprs n csd which do u prefer. @angelgal n abu- u both almost made me feel like i did not know wat i was sayin wen i told u guys 2 change d dial up numba. Thank God that angelgal n senisho's fones now work on csd n it's free. Abu r u sure the settings u r having is correct, if yes, den i guess u shud b patient. |

@ angelgirl- seems like u have forgotten that weekends r also off peak  . It's probably a network problem, u know csd is not like gprs that's always available. One thing i also know about vmobile's csd is that, if u dont have credit n validity it wont go through, even though it's free. Chao |

@mamba, go 2 AYA's wap/website. @easy, they are both quite fast & I can't tell d difference cos I use 'em both on opera and not d normal WAP. @deji, try downloading at night/mid-night & upwards cos dats when I download & I've downloaded apps of over 150-200+kbs, so vmobile can definately download more than 125kbs. |

pls can somebody give me the config for the vmobile gprs, i wanna connect via pc. or do i use the regular one sent OTA. i have been going thru the tons of PNF posts but havent seen it yet. Pls Mtn is really dragging and with all these talk that vmobile's own is more stable.

Hi guys, happy easter to u all. Wow I seem to have missed out on a lot of action these few days, I spent a whole day catching up. I've tried wap over csd but couldn't get a connection, may try again later. @2tek: use the regular vactive profile u received OTA for pc connection, but remember to enable proxy in ur pc's browser settings.
@Angel: good to see u back and active again.
For all those experiencing problems with vmobile and opera, remember that vmobile does not offer full web. |

Many phones automatically detect proxy settings, and will run opera on vmobile without u having to do anything, for others, manual configuration is required. I have noticed that while the former sometimes cannot secure a connection, the latter always does.
As for speed, remember that gprs utilizes excess bandwidth, there are more subscribers on MTN, and they all have access to gprs, unlike vmobile that has limited its gprs to Lagos, Abuja, PH and a few cities. There's bound to be a difference in speed.
