if we should be able to break the code and improve the firmware found on /// phones we would be able to really test it.
a while ago a few people broke the code of a phone (halfly related to /// if you know what i mean). they were able to make sure that their was no sound when a picture was taken. also they made it possible to choose any sound for messages.
so if we would base ourselfs on that. we could make all our proto's working like they should. in away it would mean that ericsson phones are back in action.

Hi Guys!
That's an awesome unit you've got there, First of its kind I saw whtis a mainboard attached to it, I only saw a case for that way back 2001 when I was still affiliated with the /// service points.
What seems to be the probelm with it? As I have read it just keeps on searching for a network? The most commomn reasons for that is due to a faulty antenna connection or a malfunctioning antenna switch or power amplifier.
Sure hope you get it running again, I even like its color

@bleur u mean r520 umts, right? i dont think it can be fixed, as i wrote before, it was just a test fone for umts system imo, not for making calls.

Oh is that so, that's a pity but I thought it was a different R520 model before since i saw the case for that same unit before, I even wanted to snap it on my R520 then.
Cool prototype logo on the side too.

i am not sure if i am right, just guessed. indeed, that grey colour is amazing, no stripe in the middle as usually at r520 units, a "real proto"!

If only /// mass produced all its prototypes then the mobile phone industry would be more advanced than it already is.
Imagine an R310 or a T39 with a 2MP cam + GPRS + MP3 + Video + Photolight + IrDa & BT + the proximity technology of the R520 + expandable memory of up to 1Gb & even just a 65,000 colored screen would wipe the competition away & earn a couple of more patents to the leader in mobile phone technology.
Taking underwater photos with your phone is the coolest thing to date i guess
Well that's that
