you wont get away with water damage! you will have to pay the repairs.
the little white 'dot/square' on the battery or underneath battery turns red/pink when the phone has water damage

The installed keyboards on the X10, on firmware RA0016 (or whatever it is), are absolute rubbish. If you are having problems with it I suggest getting the HTC keyboard, unless Sony Ericsson upload the RB0020 firmware sometime this decade, which apparently fixes the lost key presses of the keyboard.
A lot of people are also praising swipe, so I guess that is also worth a go. |

Well I used WIFI today most of the time and EDGE connection of Vodafone Mumbai. Now I can connect to browser excellently with EDGE but for some reason it does not work with any apps or even my gmail account. Where am I going wrong?

You will require the full vodafone internet services activated called "vodafone mobile connect" to access the apps and have full internet on your x10. Plans start from Rs. 499/- onwards... the x10 works flawlessly with the full internet... Only thing the plans are pretty expensive.. you can call up vodafone helpline to activate the full internet.
Plus the best keyboard for the x10 imho is the Swype Keyboard and the Htc keyboard... install them- it makes typing a breeze...
-enjoy

Bro I got 899/- unlimited plan. I don't know what's going wrong. Let me try calling up Vodafone or something.
Thanks for the info on keyboard.
P.S - I tried again it gives me same error, unable to connect the server. FTW!
P.S - Sorry to edit again but I also want to add that browser works amazing. It's just the browser that functions through EDGE.

@ IndianDawg:
Try this: Settings>wireless controls> mobile networks> access point names> and make sure "vodafone connect" is chosen and not "vodafone live!"
If it still doesn't work, then better call up the vodafone people...
And with vodafone live! too only the browser works, the apps and gmail do not... so i though u must be on the basic gprs plan...
