@amby tanx 4d advice as regards mtn but vmobile's csd is also free, u will not be billed a dime. So guys if u have a vmobile line n u stay outside lagos n ur phone has d wap csd setting all u need to do is go to ur wap csd settings n change d last number in the dial up number menu to 5 n u'll start browsin. D problem is that i think csd has been down for 2days now. But go ahead n try it.

my gist plenty, and my phone only allows 450 characters per post.

PART ONE

@egunj: pls clarify the "improvements in quality and strength of govt & its institutions". so far, no one has intimated they want military rule, so as for that point, we're all on the same page.

@easyd: i dont have an iota of a qualm about a lady pres but she has to be a TITANIUM lady to fix naija's problem. and pls leave coola! if has millions to spend on gprs.

PART TWO
@uchrik: should we who disagree with 3rd term be arrested as well? what if the situation was different & say, obj wanted 2 send sojas 2 slaughter ijaws in the delta & atiku came out 2 disagree with the move. would you still say he should resign 4 bumping heads? as long as he is backed by the constitution AND the general will of the people (4get he has his own personal incentives), he is justified.
@ifed: methinks uchrik is among the 24%

@easydee: I'm going to try wap over Vmobile csd tonight, just for the fun of it.
I have been meaning to answer the question u asked about BBcode, but kept forgetting.
BBcode allows u to insert certain characteristics into ur posts. These include Bold face font type, Itallics, hyperlinks in ur post, bullets and numberings, etc.
For example, if I wanted to write ur name in bold face, I'd enter the sequence [B]easydee[/B] but because I have disabled BBcode on this post, u can see it in raw form.
If BBcode were active, all u'd see is ur name in boldface. For more info on this, check the FAQ segment of Esato from ur PC.

@easy: thanx. changed it but still no link so i assume its the general problem.
@all: what speeds are the various operators giving the data? gprs and csd? never bothered to check glo when i was using it but when using the phone's browser, not opera mini(which seems to be slower) , the optimum i've seem was about 5kb/s. lets try and get a good comparism. does phone makes/models make a difference?

@uchrik: i now understand what you meant about the resigning and i totally get ur stand on 3rd term. but i still would like to know how you feel that govt infrastructures are stronger now than during the military regimes. that statement was what made me poke at you.

@Abu,I neva made any statement that public/social infrastructures in Nigeria are better today compared to the military era.Pls check my posts. However, even though I dont wish to speak onbehalf of the govt I must say that I share the view that there has been an improvement on infrastructural facilities. You may ask me again if you still wish to know why.

@Abu,my reason is simple. It might not impress you but I'm quite satisfied with it.It's the road that leads to my house at the village.Last tarred during the colonial period the road was filled with so much potholes that it takes about one hours drive. This road was tarred again in 2001.Nowadays,it takes about 10mins drive.

@Abu: i quite agree with uchrik, we should not forget so soon how things were before democratic rule. Though i'm nothing near pro Obj and i don't intend to be his fan anytime in future becos wt he's done so far, someone else wld have done same(or even better) if he were to be in his shoes. But the fact remains that things are better now. We no longer queue for fuel, to make calls, to get visas... to mention a few. Roads, the country-over are now maintained, unlike PTF who only fixed rds in the north. Ministers are also being appointed based on their tested potentials, but before it used to be 'who you know'. This visible improvements is enough reason to say things got good, not as if it couldn't have been better, but we should also acknowledge the bit. Had it been soja boys, your guess is as good as mine.
