You can download panels to your PC from the Fun and Downloads part of the SE site. Just got SPB and slideshow off there.

@ koto. I will play with it more tonight and compare it with my p1 for you although I think there are people a lot better placed than me to do that.
That said I will give the Joe Shmo view rather the the more technical.
@norbie. I will take some pics tomorrow for you during the day time.
Cheers JD

@bider
Thanks, nice pictures. Bigger X1 screen is obvious, although not wider at all. I hope 65 colours doesn't affect the overall experience. |

@JD
Great, you're the man
I need a P series lover (P1 satisfied user) to make a comparation and you perfectly match the description For more technical and objective review I will wait for Dogmman and masseur. |

I doubt anyone can tell the difference between a 65K (16bit) color image and a 16M (24bit) one on a phone-sized screen. The differences seen are probably due to other factors.

Am I right when I say that 1900 is enough for 3G umts with AT&T?
I'm in New York and AT&T locally works over 850/1900 (UMTS II and V)
AT&T 3g uses either 1900 or 850 depending on the area of the country you are in. Here's some AT&T maps.
EDIT: Just realized I just repeated what you asked. I don't know the answer, maybe AT&T tech support can give you an answer. That's if you're lucky enough to get a tech support guy that knows what he is talking about

Was it something wrong with the pictures I posted about 2 hours ago?

I think the links to Panels and Support on the X1 should be mobile.sonyericsson.com etc rather then wap.sonyericsson.com
The SPB Shell Panel works really well

I have a question for everyone owning an X1.
Can you try to send mail with it. I think they need to be at least 10k in size. Preferably a little bigger.
That's actually the only thing that really bothers me at the moment. It's most likely a bug. But I'm not sure if it's only the phone that gives me trouble, or if it has anything to do with my mail-provider.
I have the mail account set up in exactly the same way on my PC, and it works perfectly well there.
The trouble I have on the X1 is that only a part of the mail is sent. I tried sending a 32 kB mail, but only 12 kB was received in the other end. It contained two attachments, which wasn't delivered, and half of the text was truncated.

just tested with a 39kb image (birthday_gift.gif that is already in the phone), came through to my pc fine
I'm realising now that I'm back with a WM with a physical keyboard that I miss the tilt of the TyTN II. They should have made this screen tilt too

I was a bit scared that the X1 would be a lot bigger than my P1i but your pic has laid those doubts to rest. Thanks.
