In Turkey
The Kurds are a large and distinct ethnic minority in the Middle East, numbering some 25-30 million people. The area that they have inhabited--referred to on maps for centuries as "Kurdistan"--spans modern day Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey. Half of the Kurds reside in Turkey, where they comprise over 20 percent of the Turkish population.
Modern Turkey's founder, Mustafa Kemal (better known as Atatürk--"father of the Turks"), enacted a constitution 70 years ago which denied the existence of distinct cultural sub-groups in Turkey. As a result, any expression by the Kurds (as well as other minorities in Turkey) of unique ethnic identity has been harshly repressed. For example, until 1991, the use of the Kurdish language--although widespread--was illegal. To this day, any talk that hints of Kurdish nationalism is deemed separatism, and grounds for imprisonment.

My apologies for the wrong figures regarding Kurds but I was going at the top of my head.
But there are 13 million Kurds in Turkey and it IS 20% who are Kurds. Why do you say it's laughable? And from what my Turkish friends have told me, the Kurds have large families so the Kurdish population in Turkey wil only rise.

So I m right. Ranging anywhere from 25 to 27 million people, the Kurds comprise the world's largest stateless ethnic group. What I have said is correct here. But you said "50" millions. dont?
On the region -Turkey/Syria/Iran/Iraq...they are 25-30 million. And in Turkey they are 6-7 miilions of 75 millions country. Thats the point that I wanna say...they are less then %10...and I havent seen any Turks region in the Iraw land. But we have 1,5 millions Turks in Iraq, and over 20 millions in Iran.

what I have said is true and correct. 25-30 millios in the middle east. And they are 6-7 millions in Turkey. Thats very interesting to see a Greek guy to talk our ethnic groups. And it s very clear what you wanna say. It s impossible to fight with us. Everybody knows who we are or not...and another interesting thing, that I dont see any comment from you about our minetories in Iraq (1,5 millions Turks in Iraq,20 millions Turks in Iran,300-400 thousand in Greece,2 millions in Bulgaria...), this s not suprise for me.
regards,

But there are 13 million Kurds in Turkey and it IS 20% who are Kurds...
lets look at numbers: We are 72,5 millions(est.75 ml), and you are 10,5 millions...
if u are right (very probably not), 72,5 * %10=12,5 (have u suprised)
(with our and other countries official numbers, they are 7-8 millions, and less then %9)
so where is ur %20 ?
then turn you...
and you have 1,1 millions Albanians(not 700 u tricky boy), 300-400 thousand Turks(maybe more),totally with other minetories = 1,5 millions
10,5 * %14,2= 1,5 (have u suprised, I dont)
now, continue your campaign to find some different numbers and contribute to our friendship while using falsified numbers.
regards,
CDTRF

the point is that we recognise the minorities and especially the turkish minority in komotini has alot of benefits especially they have a plus in their grades to enter in universities because they are minorities. 700.000 albanians may be legal the other albanians are illegal but they are recognised too.
In the other side turkish goverment dont let greek schools of minority of greeks in turkey to open and they keep the religious school of xalki closed(i cant explained better) thats opossite in human rights and also not good of the european way of your country but when you have support of usa(of course there are interest from us to your country like american bases, nuclear factories........this support of course isnt from love or sympathy) you do everything you want but when usa loses their interests in turkey the things will change a lot because with no support of a powerful country like usa you cant threaten(indirectly of course)european leaders, you cant say if europe dont want to be called a christian club they must accept turkey in their "family".
also congraculations in our europea nbasketball team
