Most definitely not a hoax.

There is tech fair in London, Mid-October I think, which is when we can expect this to be announced.

well im a proud owner of a p900 ive been looking at the strides in progress being made by the opposition -windows operating phones - in software and hardware development for their phones and the easy availability of developers programs most for free and i have to say its getting increasingly untenable to continue on the Symbian bandwagon when they have let slip their previous superiority......unless the next p series is seriously good and flexible in its appeal it might just be the start of a downward trend

I'm looking forward to buying a cool SE smartphone but looks like it will take ages for the P950 to settle in the market. Should I go for the P910 instead or should I wait for SE to release the Big One?

Well we are all in that position in some way, Im thinking should I upgrade to something else or wait for the new SE. I have 2 contracts, one ends next month and the other ends in june. So I think I will get an I-Mate now then the SE in june.

you're not wrong there

I'll have the K-JAM in 5 days according to Expansys and then I'll be able to compare it with the JasJar I already have so I'll be able to better offer an opinion on these two.

I still have a certain curiosity for the next SE offering and I am sure I will also get one of those too, if only to check it out. But I do have the feeling it will have to be something really special to take me away from windows mobile devices

In fairness, I don't think anyone who professes their preference for Windows should be allowed to moderate a Symbian forum.

Time to turn in your commission, perhaps?

thats an interesting thought, but I have no dislike of the P series but for me personally the windows mobile operatng system suits me much better... and we could have a whole separate discussion on that, but not in this thread.

Indeed I have owned almost every SE phone including each of the P series offerings so I am not making my judgement based on hearsay but from actual usage over many months

Apart from that, moderating a forum does not neccessarily require vast amounts of knowledge of the product or a 100% unquestioned like of the product. Moderating a forum can be done with just an awareness of the issues around the content of the forum and a soundness and integrity to handle the problems that arise on forums together with the keeness to keep things tidy.

I don't see an issue in this regard but feel free to PM me or make another thread to continue this rather than take this thread off topic

I'm not interested in discussing this; after all, it's not my forum and therefore not my rules. Just thought I'd point it out.
