When you go into "Write New" Text message, click "more". Scroll down to "Dictionary (T9)" and click "on" or "off"
Cheers

Isnt that a major oversight for the Walkman brand? Pain in the arse as I use Sonicstage and use ATRAC espically with my PSP. Damm. |

Anyone having problems with the control stick? Mine seems to mainly act as its being pressed in rather than moving up.....
e.g: In phone-book, instead of moving up a name, it will dial the person it is on - can get use to it, but think i'll exchange it for a new one....
edit: or is it me not use to the stick of the w800.... never had problems with my k750i... though some k700s i've used, are a bit unresponsive - stick movements...

I've seen one other post saying the same as you but mine is certainly functioning correctly and as expected

thanks for the quick reply masseur, i think its a fault with the position of the joystick - it clicks against the case if pressed forward enough; the bottom of the stick gets caught under the case (if that makes sense )
Anyway, got mine from vodafone on a new connection - pleased its got no branding, and manage to blag a few accessories for free.....
Though i'm gonna have to make some time to go back and get it replaced....
p.s any chance of you showing me where that thread was....? wanted to know what he did in the end - think a SC would be able to sort it too...

Just read a few threads about joystick problems in SE phones, though most of them tend to be about dust/usage problems, only had mine for less than 2 days Think its a one off fault... hope my next one will be fine |

Hey there people
I remember seeing a post a week or so back about the media player on the K750/D750i and the W800i in relation to fast forwarding and rewinding...People where a little miffed that they couldn't do the above when listening to music or watching a vid.
However, Mr Walrus to the rescue...Whether your listening to music or watching a little video, push the joystick to the left to rewind and right to fastforward...when i say press, I mean press and hold
There you go peeps, not such a bug ridden meadia player after all )
Hope this helps.
Walrus )
