im about to buy a T68mc (r2e FW) does this essentially have all T68i features? someone told me this can be upgraded using the newest english FW version (r2f i think) to override the chinese version. can this be possible? since they have the same hardware, so they can all support the same SW or FW. can anyone confirm this? coz ill be bringing it to smartnet to have it upgraded as soon as i get it. any help would be great. party on!

@nookie, if you had taken the time to read or search the threads you would have found out that the mc is not recommended at all. Get an ic or an ie instead.

Yes a t68mc with r2e software is already an ie, it already has mms software and is already converted. Therefore it can be upgraded now locally

pag arctic blue yan.. most likely t68i yan... i don't think na they would change covers just to pretend it's a conversion kasi lalaki gastos nila. unless 2nd hand yan which the previous owner had the front cover changed. plus the keypad backlight is a giveaway too.. an orange one would mean t68m(ie)/mc(ic), a blue one would mean the original i.

t68ie/ic naman same concept. both are m or mc units upgraded to i version.. meaning if your unit is either gold or grey, both could be ie or ic. malalaman mo na lang which is which, if physically, ic would have chinese characters in its keypad and ie wouldn't. and internally, ic would have support for chinese input, while ie wouldn't.

hope i helped somehow (hehehe parang magulo pa din noh..)

@guyvet-just remove the batt and look at the back labels-it shud say T68i (or ie) if it has chinese chars on the keypad malamang it's an ie.
