As promised, I put a call to Customer Service and they told me the GPRS HAS BEEN OK IN ABUJA! I told them that the parts of Abuja that are important, like where I live, work, and worship ARE DOWN! And just a few minutes ago, GPRS came on in my room! I hope it is for real.

Another plus: they have changed that there sad song we hear when waiting for the "next available operator". It used to be Elton John's "Candle in the Wind" which made me sad because it reminded me of Lady Diana.

I am at a cyber cafe right now. I will send something from my phone tonight.

Back, back, back! GLO GPRS IS BACK. I am posting this from my sitting room -something I haven't done in 10 days. Yep, Glo GPRS is back. Over the next few days I will investigate the billing for myself. Did someone here say Glo lets u browse on credit? Can I browse with 0 naira?

@ihe. Most cutomer care ppl know NOTHING about these things. BREAKING NEWS: Glo has introduced something new! When u have credit, gprs is attached, but once u run out of credit, gprs remains available on ur line but unattached i.e. u cant use it. Sorry guys... :-(

@ihe. I've been able 2 access & reply 2 yahoo mails via d WAP/mobile version of their site right from day 1. D only issue I had was d regular site: it was javascript & d p800 browser does not support javascript. But thank God 4 dat! Accessing d regular site would have cost a fortune considering d size of those pages.
