excus me. I have posted a question two pages before but seems that it was missed out.

Would anyone please tell me that how many SMS (text messages) would V800 save?

Thanks a lot!

Does it mean that by ugrading the firmware from SE (soon), we can take away the vodaphone software inside the phone ?

i'm still waiting for the other colours to appear before getting one...sigh...

anyway, with 02 asking all the questions, we don't really need to ask anymore...just read

tonileung's question is an interesting one tho...have they finally made it possible to store more than the measly 100 smses?

@themazejb : i HIGHLY doubt it

Hello everyone!

I just got the V800 but i noticed something strange. When the phone moves (for example i walk with it), i have some horizontal line on the screen. It's like problem with frequency of the display. You can see it better when you have black background. Is it normal? Does anyone else noticed that? Or should i have me phone repaired?

Can't say I've noticed but I usually have a handsfree when walking so I don't really look at the screen all that often. But I will take it out for a walk then later today

I would not count on firmware being released soon. The ony firmware I know is coming is Vodafone branded firmware, update to the current.

I'm not very sure is that a limitation of 100 messages. ( Well maybe yes , it should be same as K700i/Z1010 functions ).

I can see any horizontal lines between moving the phone while talking. It seem ok for my V800 UK.. ... Just the firmware i guess? got new updates already??

This is not fact, but given that there is nowhere in the phone to check capacity of messages (which i'm pretty sure there was for K700i), I would guess that these are held in the phone memory instead.

Would be great if true. Suppose the only way to check is to send myself 100 sms's!

Weird thing happened to my phone last night. I put about 60 games on it via bluetooth and filled the internal memory. Was in the process of trying them out and deleting the cr@p and all of a sudden the phone deleted every single game all by itself! Including the one's I had downloaded from Vodafone LIVE, and the one's that were on there initially (including I think one of the games that you couldn't delete!). Very odd.

thanks for all your responses~ I really wish that V800 would save more SMS than previos SE phones that could only save 100, and then it would become my PERFECT phone!

I never really store SMS for very long so I would probably never reach 100 anyway.....

I do have lines when moving around, especialy in the parking garage, not nearly as much when outside.

well at the moment i have 79 messages spread across inbox and sent. delivery reports are on too. plus some are long messages.

will keep an eye on it, but i'd say with the long messages, i'm already over the 100 mark
