tai - some of the pics are docomo branded and the icons have japanese katakana. the lock screen has kanji, but japanese use kanji too. the pic of the home screen seems like all chinese. perhaps it will be available in china as well.
1 week and a few days to go til XZP is in my hands. i keep watching unboxing videos and I am SO excited to see that mirror finish and that 4K HDR display in person.
XJ - do you have the screen protector from roxfit? from the pictures online, it looks like it is not entirely clear glass but has black or chrome for the top/bottom bezels. are those mirrored like the phone or just colored? just curious. i'm not sure why they added color to the protector when they could have left it clear to showcase the true finish/color of the phone.

@moogoo I decided against the screen protector for that very reason. Think I'll hold off and get Tech 21 clear protector as soon as available.

Pre-ordered the XZP today. I paid more than I should, but was enticed by the six months free apple music and 24 months BT Sport with EE in the UK. They didn't want anything extra for upgrading five months earlier either - which was a big surprise.
Wanted Chrome, but they only had black. |

I've said it many times before and I'll say it again. In terms hardware meets software optimisation Sony is the best in that regard within Android and a very close second to Apple who are unquestionably the kings of optimisation.

I have s8+ but im tempted to get xz premium here in dubai. It such a beauty as i saw it personally yesterday.
Pre order ongoing with free sony bluetooth headset 950bt model.
Which color do you recommend guys - deep sea black or luminous chrome????!?

XJ - couldn't agree more!
Tai - cool. lucky HK then.
Luwi - Go for the black! Chrome in the hot desert sun will be too shiny, I think. You won't be able to look at that screen with the glare off the bezels.

I just got my roxfit clear antiscratch shell. the plastic is not as stiff as i thought it would be. i don't see it surviving a drop with the phone landing on a corner or even the side. let's hope it's a lot sturdier than it seems.
having it in my hands is adding to the excitement of getting my XZP!!!

@moogoo I thought the flex to the case would actually help against drops and knocks. Loving how well the phone is selling as well. It's pretty much all sold out all over Europe through the official Sony website. I can't remember the last time that happened!!

XJ - i am very happy sony has a winner with the XZP. i'm also happy they are choosing to stick with premium flagship models only instead of wasting time and resources on standard premium models. maybe the popularity and success of the XZP will open their eyes to what people really want. high end specs, world class features, and optimized software. i am beyond excited to get mine. my Z1 is really getting on my nerves lately. sure, it works, but after using the XZ for awhile before going back to my Z1, it's been such a chore. things are so slow, my camera lens is all scuffed up cause it's plastic and the display has nothing on the XZ. The XZP is going to be insane to look at. It's a little pathetic but I found myself holding the clear case with the paper xzp insert and pretending to use it
