great work etaab for all of your comparison shots and unbiased opinions!
+1
I ordered the Orange one and it too shipped today... wonder how long it will take to get to me with the "express" option????
-1, I plan on making my opinions VERY biased! lol

mlife, are you in US?
they provided me with a fedex tracking number, but as of 12:30am it is still not in fedex system yet , so I doubt its coming for several more days.
what really pisses me off is that I pre-ordered my N8 from NokiaUSA online, and at the time they were only giving 10% off for the in stock dark Grey model.. now 2 weeks after my pre-order the Green is in stock and they are offering 10% off for anyone who orders it now.
so basically I get screwed out of about $55 because i pre-ordered it 2 weeks ago.
that really blows..

I guess you can tell them about this situation and make them pay you $55. I'm pretty sure they will do that
@Sassho, we can't compare because all of your links refer to the same adress: http:///

Yes, Im in the US.... I originally placed my order on Oct. 12th and my total was $591.55 with the free shipping... but then I became inpaitent and canceled my order yesterday (the 21st) so I could up grade the shipping to express and add the nokia extended warr.... when I did so the guy was really cool and said because I added the warr, he would give me 10% off... my new total was only .09 cents higher than the original....... but no tracking info was provided

Man, you´re such a funny guy!
"I know how shoot"
"belive ме - ISO400 is unusable in cameraphones"
Sorry, man... I should know that you´re the only gifted photographer in the whole world.
How imbecile is this guy! He keeps on saying that "ISO400 is unusable in cameraphones"...
Sassssssho, you haven´t even commented about those two ISO-500 shots from Satio and that ISO-800 shot from the N8 that I´ve posted.
The Pixon12 is just a joke for anything above ISO-200...
These two come from the Eldar Murtazin comparison (Eldar has confused the N8 shot with the Pixon12 in his review ):
Here´s the N8 shot (ISO-671):
And, now, Sasssssho´s king, her "majesty", the Pixon12, @ ISO-200:
As I said, the Pixon12 is a complete mess at anything above ISO 200. How funny is that, Sasssssssssssssho?

Yes, the N8 does take somewhat better photos than the Satio, it is much sharper than the SE.
If anybody hoped or expected the results to be in favour of the Satio then that would have been unrealistic considering how old the Satio is.

I wish it were that easy my friend.. Nokia is famous for poor tele support. They would never just hand over $55.
I would have to send back the N8 that has already been shipped to me, and re-order another one.
I just don't wanna deal with the hassle.. I just want my green N8 in my hands already! |

@ Sassho - please quit with the poor quality comparisons. Those sites you link from are pretty bad sources of information. Also please stop annoying people by stating insults against a particular phone. Its a bit immature.
@ jake20 - its up to you dude, personally id just go with what you have coming since it was ordered first. If you cancel now, theres no guarantee you'll get your phone any quicker. In fact if you cancel and reorder, it might take much much longer depending on how popular the handset is with preorders and the competency of US suppliers.

OK here is a quick test i did just now testing flash. Complete darkness, full automatic settings on both phones with just xenon flash. Clearly, you can see the Satio image is slightly closer due to the wider angle lens of the N8. But shock came across my face, the N8 beat the Satio imo. I was not expecting this result since i have previously commented on how much more powerful the Satio flash is. It appears to have failed in this test.

now take a look at the N8 version..

So much more colour and sharpness, less noise and overall better lit. The Satio image is awful !

@ Sassho - those sites you get comparisons from. They're not very reliable.
Btw ive already edited full size pics into the post under each picture.
Look at the difference with 100% crops:
Satio
Nokia N8
Not good for Satio at all ! its the same in every pixel of the image.
Look at those two pictures, on the Satio image the detail on the pillow is simply a blur, on the N8 you can see the pattern very well. Think about it, if the N8 has a wider angle lens, therefore images are smaller because they fit more into the scene, then surely the pixels would show less detail ? not the case here, the Satio cannot compete at all !

OK now its time for a macro, taken indoors with automatic settings on both cameras.
Satio
Full size click here
The Satio picture looks good, good focus, good colours, good sharpness, until you see the N8 attempt which trounces the Satio again..

My only complaint with the N8 is that it needs to be held slightly further away from the subject for macro shots. Again, something new and different about having a wider angle lens.
