Oh, are you sure? Maybe I heard wrong but lots of people were saying even with P&G the iPhone 4 was much much cheaper than in the UK.

after a few days of the IP4 i still think i prefer the look of the 3Gs though
What makes the 3GS better than the 4 in your opinion?
------------------------------------------------------------------
i never said it was a better phone, i just prefer the physical appearance of the 3g/3gs, i know a lot of ppl will disagree but i feel the ip4 just looks a bit too sterile
peformancewise its another story, i came from the 3g to ip4 and the difference is staggering |

I am completely with you on that I still prefer the look of the 3GS over the IP4 |

I had the same opinion at the start, but the ip4 shape and style have really grown on me now

What's screen visibility like in bright sunlight? The 3GS doesn't cope well with this, I was using it today, unless there is a way to increase brightness. Did your 3GS have problems in hot weather? The one i was using constantly coming up with Sim card errors whenever it got hot.

didn't have any heat issues with the 3GS. I thought the 3gs was perfectly readable in sunlight.the default setting on the ip4 seems a little less bright so I've turned that up a notch (settings > brightness) and its fine too

I recall mentioning in a topic that you were active in ( here) that phone insurance is almost always included in home insurance, and in my case it certainly is! I proved that just last week when my daughter dropped her iphone into our garden pond while feeding the fish!
can't see the point in paying £8 (ish) extra a month for something that I'm already paying for!
interesting point. in some jurisdictions it CAN ACTUALLY be illegal to insure sth twice. ppl got into trouble not realising that their phone (or bike or cat) was already covered by a policy when taking up additonal cover

Guys, are there any advantages of having a business contract over a personal contract?
The reason I ask is Orange offer their existing business customers an iPhone 4 for £49.00 on a £30 18 month contract
There also isn't that much of a difference in tariff details and price.
I'm thinking if I go onto Orange now there may be benefits to be had in future
Can anyone recommend a bette business contract than Orange? Or is Orange the best?
I'll need at least 600 minutes PM, texts not that important, and about 500MB data. |

Thanks, the next time I use it ill try to increase brightness and see if it's easier to read from. Do you jailbreak your iPhones or leave them as they are? I think to get one I would have to jailbreak it, I don't like the idea of being restricted to mp3s from iTunes alone.
There's an article here that the iPhone 4 has already been jailbroken ;

Just had a word with an old friend who used to work at T-Mobile Head Offices and it transpires that my initial suspicions, which I posted on another thread, were right! The delay in T-Mobile releasing their tariffs and handset prices is mainly down to them c0cking up with the order of micro-sims. At the time my mate spoke with a colleague (some time last week) who still works there they still didn't have enough, if any, sims to send out
And then to add further delay, the whole fiasco with the signal issue and yellow screen has led their tech boys to carry out further tests.
Word now has it that an announcement will be made next Wednesday as they are having trouble keeping hold of a lot of disgruntled customers. Hence the offer of £10 off line rental until the release of the phone.
PS Anyone able to help me with my Q about Business Tariffs? |

I trimmed my tmob sim card down with a pair of scissors and it works without issue.
perhaps tmob should get one of those cutters off ebay and get their customer service people to sit stamping out micro sims while they help customers on the phone:-)
