I don't have the display dust but I do have the accumulating dust inside the d-pad (right where the blue glow usually is) and I think there's no real way to clean this up other than disassembly. Better get that toolbox...

One of the downs of this phone is the lag, especially when using a flash menu (try setting the Compo theme) |

Anybody tried Wayfinders Maploader with Wayfinder navigator?
The maploader works, in that it downloads maps to the C702, but I have no subscription to Wayfinder anymore, so cannot test that the preloaded maps are used.
It seems to be working with Wayfinder Earth. |

@Luci'sPower: No, it doesnt have bestpic, i think C902 has it though...
Mine's a bit slow with flash themes too, so i changed it to Super Nova (Thanks to the_laser and A2Uploader).... however, i hope the phone get faster with a firmware upgrade, since i'm on R3BA035...
about the dust under the d-pad, i've never really checked it until now, but it seems to have a little dust right in the blue area...

Here are my 1-month-after general impressions... look... xD (some things are strictly related with my single unit...)
Great:
Nice design (the cool cyan is really cool)
Almost perfect software
Brilliant UI
Outdoor very good camera
Torch light (like with the K750 )
GPS Wow-effect
Alarms (have you ever seen so much settings??)
Perfect phonebook(thanks to the new key-layout)
Water resistance
Bad:
Low-light camera performance
Sometimes creaking battery cover
Stuck pixels (only with dark background)
All in all a low resistance to small scratches
Not-that-fast Media (with a lot of content)
No accelerometer

Well, it's awesome, yesterday I thought about the SAME thing... As soon as I can I'll try it because TrekBuddy hasn't convinced me really and this could be the only alternative if you don't want to lose all our money for the connection...

I'd have to disagree a bit,
camera is difficult to use in low yes, but when held 100% still it produces pretty decent pics,
I would also add the slow software under the bad, media menu is slow, it's also slows right down and almost gives up when muti-tasking, C702 has 2 speeds slow or super slow, also i have no stuck/dead pixels anywhere, also my battery cover is fine.

Well, you're right about the night pics, but in fact the problem is when you're for example in a restaurant and you take a pic with people that often move etc... When taking a night landscape if you have a still hand they are quite good...
I don't have experienced that slow UI (R3DA029) only Media can be in difficulty when browsing (I have a 2GB MStick)...
Last thing, the cover two weeks ago was creaking especially when typing SMS, now it doesn't creak so I'm a bit confused however I accept it... |

the only bad sides i have found after 2 months are:
- gps signal is weak as hell (compared to my previous n82)
- slow text input when music is playing
- rss stops updating after 4 or 5 days, and has become a part of the new media menu. i rather have it as an option under my quick menu.
- default firmware sucks ass. a nice way to lose a LOT of customers SE!
- no "play" button anymore.
- camera is lame in weak light settings. so is the video recorder in general.
i agree with the loss of the acceler-o-meter, but i am not shure i could hold it as a downside for this phone. SE has to stop adding hardware and features somewhere, otherwise it wouldnt be a midd range phone

The c702 slows down alot when multi tasking my gps is fine but a little slow again its the software, the phone is let down by its crappy software.

C702 is not very fast but I can live with that as it will probably get better. But yesterday I got my first bluetoot headset and I noticed that playing music on that, the phone's interface (webbrowsing also) gets a lot slower (compared to wire). I guess it's due to the data transfer. So I think C702 really could have used a faster processor (or two). Well maybe I expect too much of my C702, anyhow I still like it a lot (hoping it will get better).

At first I thought 160MB of internal storage would do it a world of good, but I realized the fault is with the processor.

The processor is just as good as any other A2 phone most probley there all the same, the fault is just rubbish software.
