Gutted! My colleague got back from the US today, sans his checked baggage (just his hand carry). Our 16GB iPhones were in one of the checked baggages though. Have to wait until Monday for them to be delivered to the office now.
One good thing came out of it, managed to persuade him to let me have the Seidio slim case and holster that he got for himself. Should go nicely with my Seidio holster for my Curve that arrives tomorrow too!

thats sad news, but as a very regular traveller, I never understand why anyone ever puts stuff like this in checked baggage. even if the boxes for gadgets are big, I might put the boxes in baggage but I'll still take the actual gadget in hand luggage

I've decided I want another iPhone now! Wish I had never sold it originally as it had early firmware!
Perhaps this is because I am using a T630 atm??? Hmm...
Does anyone know what happens when you take an iPhone back for a replacement? Do you have to be the original buyer etc?
Cheers

AppFlow now available by Erica Sadun - think CoverFlow for your applications. I've just found it via Installer.

I have to say that in 2 weeks of using iPhone, the lack of flash in safari has not caused me a problem yet and the built in youtube applet works perfectly providing all I have needed so far

The iPhone SDK Will Be Late
"There’s a week to go before Apple’s commitment to release the iPhone Software Developers Kit in February runs out of room. I’m hearing from one source that its going to be late. I’m not yet hearing any reasons why, and it’s sounding like the official release date could slide by anywhere from one to three weeks.
Apple had no comment, and as yet there’s no word on any events related to an SDK release next week. However I’m also hearing that the situation is fluid, and a lot of last-minute decisions are close to being made about what precisely will or will not be disclosed next week, if anything. There are, apparently, a lot of moving parts to something this complex.
Remember if you will that BusinessWeek broke the story of Apple’s plans to release an iPod SDK in October, a day before CEO Steve Jobs announced the company’s intentions himself via a statement on the “Hot News” section of Apple’s Web site.
So will they make it to the finish line in time or will they have to fudge it a little? We’ll all be watching next week."
