I am posting my detail thoughts on the M600 across at my-symbian as we have Masseur doing a sterling job here (as usual).
Just a few subjective comments. Having used the keyboard all day I am really impressed with the speed of data entry. Also once you get used to tha task manager, switching between apps is a breeze. Generally I am impressed with the speed of the base applications. I'm not sure we need menu animations and I think the control/info bar at the top (the one with the 'return' button) and the selection buttons at the bottom of teh screen are too large given the real-estate available. Also given that we don't have soft menu keys you need to use the touch screen a lot - so I think a screen protector will be a good investment.
The form factor of this device is just fanstastic - I'm now worried I may not need a P990!

I see you went for the white masseur; what do you think of it? This is where I am stuck, which colour? I think it will be black for me. Looks great. Will proberbly order one or two tomorrow.

actually, yes, that was a comment I meant to post...
why didn't they add soft key buttons? even the scroll wheel, which does an excellent job (though I still try to use it 5 way!) cannot provide access to those.
Windows mobile 5 standard requires hard key buttons for the soft keys and as I've said repeatedly, you have the option to use the windows mobile 5 devices (eg k-jam) just about 100% single handed without stylus if you wish when walking etc.
While I don't want to dismiss this yet, I'm not sure this will prevent me getting a P990 but I currently have no fear that my k-jam is out the window!
edit: well I asked earlier in thread about colours but I definitly prefer the white as I did with the T630 and am pleased with my choice. If you are getting two, get one of each colour and decide for yourself

Yeah will most probably get a white and a black. masseur, what did you get in the package? Any pics? I know that the HK sellers are bad for removing genuine items and putting in their own 3rd party ones. But x1387 are supposed to be quite good and not do this.

pictures later... its getting late... but in the box is the phone and battery, a euro style charger + a UK adaptor, a headset identical to that supplied for K750, a USB sync/charge cable, again like the one supplied with K750, and a box with CD, leaflets and manuals. The 64mb M2 memory stick is already inserted into the device and is preinstalled with try and buy software which I haven't looked at yet and I'll be replacing that with the 1gb M2 I got a few weeks back anyway
edit: actually, now I think about it thats strange. HK have the same power plugs as UK so why it has a 2 prong euro charger I'm not sure.
anyway, I'm not using any of that. instead I'm using the one that came with my K750 together with a CDS-60 stand

What sorta case is everyone using witht there M600i? I see that Krussell have got cases specifically for it, but was kinda gutted that one didn't come with the retail pack.
I've been using an iPod slip case and it's fits quite well. |

| That may be the case on the k-jam but with the O2Exec (I had) one handed use with Wm05 was terrible. You almost couldn't do anything without resorting to the touch-screen. Even some of the ok/cancel dialogues required a screen tap. So far (ok, only 1/2 a day's use) I've found the M600 infinitely better at one handed use - although certainly not perfect. Hopefully future firmware releases will improve one-handed use. |

Is anyone using a 2G sim with the M600? If so is it working OK?

@Marc_SE
Geting a good case is an issue. The M600 is so small and slim that any existing P9xx poches are too large. Krusell have two designs for the M600 but I'm not sure they are for me. I am waiting for a PDAIR case as I like the black soft leather they use and they usually design a pouch - which is what I prefer. I think a lot of peope will go for vertical design of the Krusell as the the M600 does have the vertical dimensions of a standard candy bar mobile phone and therefore can be attached to a touser pocket/belt with a slim clip. Having now talked about vertical cases I thnk I would be interested in one from Bodyglove - the clip they use is a design I like.

Anyone have an idea as to why the such rapid/substantial drop on price already? I just find it kind of strange that such a high-end phone has dropped in price so much so quick...? Not that I'm complaining though, keep falling!!

@Digitalcntax,
well I think the SE M600 was over priced by Expansys (UK) and as it is still in short supply in UK retail/online shops the price is hgh. Where there is sufficient supply e.g. HK I think the price is now closer to the retail price which is USD430 which would translate to a UK price of around UKP300 once you add VAT and the typically higher UK overheads. Those with a M600 I think will notice that SE have tried to keep the price low by not giving away too many accessories - the data cable is not as easy to use as a docking station and there is no free (cheap) case and no spare stylus. All signs that this is a low price device.

@Marc_SE, I'm plannnig to get the krusell as soon as I find it in stock somwhere
@davisa, agreed. my experience with the JasJar was similar in that I felt it didn't make as good an interface with the screen flipped open but rotated to cover the keyboard as there are no buttons for the soft keys available in that mode and that partly helped me choose the k-jam instead which has buttons for soft keys in both keyboard open and closed modes.
@Coxy, I dropped my standard Vodafone SIM in there so I guess thats all you need.

Guys who already been used M600 for a while, what is your opinion about to not have 5-way jogdial? Myself has customized my 5-way exactly as I want it to behave on my P910.
