@ BengalBoy - if you check the link Domi posted after you, in there is a video demonstrating messaging that shows the P990i has delivery reports in its SMS options.

Good.

I still hate the rear of the phone, and the lack of a higher resolution camera compared to Nokia's N80.

Not perfect IMO.

Etaab; the Nokia N80 does have autofocus - I've double checked.

Also the scroll wheel for volume is an ingenious idea, something that pisses me off about all S60 nokia's save for the N90 & 6260 flip phones.

that cover on the P990 will be a life saver, trust it.

BES is what will make this phone a true business phone - Great find BengalBoy. OOh are you keeping both your copies of the P990i's ??

Hi Everyone,
Happy New Year
On the SE site its says .....

If you don’t have your PC with you and you want to check the status of an appointment, you can also synchronise remotely over the air.

Any idea wat does it mean and how is it being done on the p990.
Hope bengalboy you are able to assist on that since you already have a set of p990.

thanks

This month

I have heard it is not expected untill March, it is listed as coming soon in the carphonewarehouse magazine but masseur assures me that it has been listed soon for months.

This is most definately my next phone without a doubt, i hated it at first but the more i see it the more i like it.

@Bagpuss, CPW are always very optimistic. March sounds realistic for the P990 release.

Thanks etaab for bringing that SMS menu to my attention and clarifying it... I wasn't sure at the time I answered and didnLt have the device with me for a check.

I use the P990i on T-Mobile here in the United States. No way to use the video call function but the phone performance is flawless as well as messaging. The bugs in the OS are related to the PDA side of the device but are still serious and result in an unstable device not ready for consumers at this time. I can promise you the phone will not release in January! Don't get robbed! Another firmware upgrade just came out again last week and the OS is being improved daily... so ... maybe a February release will be possible!

Updating calander and contacts over-air would probably be related to the embedded "Black Berry" push email software which has a "contacts/calander" synch over-air menu. I've posted photos of that on my site but since I am not a Black Berry subscriber I have no way of testing it.

I posted photos of the Radio, Camer & Video menus as well as some additional photos and I will be uploading videos taken with the P990i later..

@Bengalboy
When the device becomes more stable keep me posted on its performance on T-Mobile.

I was using a Z800i on T-Mobile until late September and always seemed to have problems with the device no matter what part of the country I was in (excessive dropped calls, spotty GPRS, SMS failure, complete signal drop, etc). Updated the software which solved other problems but none of the more serious ones. However, after Katrina there was open roaming between Cingular and T-Mobile in my area and oddly enough the phone worked great but, that only lasted a few weeks. I ended up going back to my BlackBerry as the Z800i was too problematic.
