my amd sempron 3000 is going strong. i personally prefer amd but as cyco said they are both as good and the differences only occur when you do more ocmplicated things on the pc. ive just always had an amd and have never had any big problems

It's definately a java problem. Daft as it sounds, have you tried clearing your temporary internet files and downloading the applet again?
There's a few other things we can try, I'll post 'em later because I've got to go out and mend a computer now

@cycovision: i'm having problems with my proxy server settings. because our company changed their proxy server address, i also have to update the settings in my internet explorer browser. it is updated, but for some reason, when i restart my PC, the old proxy server setting is restored, overriding my previous manual setting of the new proxy server. the same thing is happening to my colleagues' PC. it doesn't do anything harmful, but it is really annoying, as i have to re-enter the settings everytime i turn on my PC. is it an IE bug? or a new virus? do you have any idea what's causing this? thanks a lot...

since youve no hard drive than you ll have to take each stick of ram out and they should have a sticker on saying what size they are. unless its cheap ram and it may not.
another way is to find out what mother board it is then look to see what ram it takes and the configuration which may offer a clue

If its a pentium 3 and below motherboard it will use SD ram. The usual amount is 128 mb. If p4 it will use DDR ram usualy 256 mb. But yeah ther definitly should b a stickr on it 2say wat size it is. Hope it helps.
