Hi. Yes I tried to uninstall the java games with the uninstall feature but the java games stored in the Memory card were not listed to uninstall. Only the games in Phone storage. This is why I had to delete them manually from the card.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You know you have to chose the drive witch you want to uninstall from in the uninstall-app. You have to click to activate the memorystick-page at the top.

- Today screen error is fixed in the latest Generic World firmware. Keep Calander open and I think it should be okay then

- wifi, this is worrying. It appears that Voda P990 owners are having a lot of problems with connecting to wifi.

I haven't had any problems with WIFI on mine. What problems have people been having specifically with the Vodafone ones?

WiFi is one of the things I think work flawless for me! I was abroad last weekend and connected to a lot of open hotspots in Amsterdam and closed hotspot at my hotel.

At home it's the same happy saga... no problems at all after setting up IP and DNS. (I don't use DHCP, I want to set static IPs)

Regarding Wifi: How is it? I have heard there are many forms of wifi and the one that the P990 supports isn't the fastest, but can you notice that difference in any way or is it just fun all the way???

It supports 'b' only. Speed isn't going to be an issue but accessability is. I've seen enough 'g' only networks that I'm reconsidering buying a P990.

Has anyone else seen this (although I guess you won't see the networks from your P990 if they're 'g' only lol!)

Most networks have back-compability and can be connected to with both g and b. Regarding the speed, the p990 supports 10mbit wlan. Most broadband-connections isn't that fast. So it's good enough to surf on. If you would send very big files in a local network you could be a bit bored..
I downloaded a 100mb mp4-file from the net and it took me about 10-12 minutes. I think thats totaly acceptable.

I think that you might be able to see a g only network from your p990 but you can't connect to it.

Thanks sainty for offering to help, this is what I had posted earlier.

When I set up the wireless, it scanned and found my wireless Lan,
(Authentication is open and network is set to infrastructure.)
I set my WEP key and I add it to group account called "Internet" from the group accounts available which I list below:

Business email
Internet
Vodafone internet
Vodafone Mail incomming
Vodafone Mail outgoing
Vodafone Wap

My W.Lan router on the phone has a Gold padlock and star by it.
My globe and my antenae are on, and I'm connected when I try to open a page it tries by default to open via Vodafone internet, I scroll to Internet and click connect and it tells me

COULD NOT LOCATE REMOTE SERVER

If I dont scroll and connect to the default Vodafone internet my page comes up.

Oh and by the way, my router recognises the phone in its connection Log.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After much discussion, Vodafone have finally agreed to a new contract with terms I am prepared to accept, (12 month contract P990i free and 20% line rental discount for a year) So I shall start evaluation the device from Monday, providing the courier gets it here!

I have ordered a Martin Fields screen protector but can someone answer a couple of other questions for me please.

Do SE provide a case in the box as per the P910i?

What type of headphones are provided in the box , are they in ear type, or just the regular type as those provided with the P910i? If so, can anyone recommend an in ear type that will allow me to use the phones voice control functions.

I have to evaluate the video calling function (My CEO seems to think he will use it with sponsors) has anyone tried it out yet, if so how successful has it been?
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot.

@joel80 You said you downloaded a 100mb mp4 file with your P990i, so are you able to download direct to the MS DUO? Be great if thats true!

Yes most networks do have 'back-compatibility' to the b-only standard, the problem is - if you have a few pc connected to a 'g' hub and a 'b' gets on there too the whole network will suffer. I know it should not be this way under 'ideal circumstances' but unfortunately the reality is not ideal. Last year I had to upgrade one of my PC's exactly because of this. And now a new standard is setting in - ever heard of 'turbo g'. SE must really wake up -
