Massuer congrats on the new phone! As you are officially having the retail version of X1 how about the most controversial question "how much RAM" does it show!
Also u think the silver is better than the black eh? |

Hi does the phone come with blackberry connect installed or on cd.
thanks
It doesn't come with BB Connect, neither pre-installed nor on a CD.
I talked to SE support and they said they plain and simple don't support BB Connect on this device. |

WM software is generally keyed by owner name rather than IMEI and so all my software that I have used since way back when installs fine on the X1 as long as I set the owner name the same, and since thats my first name thats easy!
so far I'm happy to report that all the preinstalled panels are quick and yes, the keyboard is very easy to use, probably easier than on the TyTN II actually
Thanks ! That's very helpful. Upgrade date 8th November so I can see what Voda has to offer as well as checking the X1.

Congrat. on your new phone masseur. This is nice to hear cause my main fear was that x1 is sluggish. Eagerly waiting for further impresions. For now I would like to hear about ms word speed, specially typing speed while phone is put on desk (laptop simulation ) |

I can just add to Masseurs statement about the X1, it's a great build quality and with a nice keyboard and display.
However, as long as they don't support BB Connect they will lose a number of business users. Too bad... |

@molecule, just like Swedish ones, and yep, the build quality is excellent and has a solid quality feel. I wish I had tried the touch pro to compare with as having had the diamond, it is bigger than I would now like my WM device to be, but Ill get used to it and it definitely a huge improvement on the TyTN II

So has it really got 256MB or 384MB? Maybe there's another 128 hidden somewhere....(ducks various phones thrown in general direction..)

People, try to forget the memory queston. It has 256 MB and no other "hidden" 128. You won't buy the X1 just because it has "only" 256 MB ram? So childish...
BTW: the X1 will be available in Hungary regarding to SE Store in the first weeks of November. Maybe we will get another accented character keyboard version here |

For us American users (which as far as I remember seems to be just myself and WhyBe ), I've taken a gamble and placed an order with clove.co.uk since they are claiming to have the phone in stock.
Hopefully I get the damn thing; if I have luck I'll let you know These international orders always worry me! Anyone in the UK get theirs from Clove? I wanted to confirm they really are totally unlocked-unbranded... |

@Masseur
Where did you order your X1 from? The silver looks great and Vodaphone are only doing black?
I haven't seen any proof of tomorrow all day! |

In general I'd say the X1 with panels is quicker than the diamond with touch flo and the finger use of the X1 works really well.
opening panels is very quick but I have to say pressing the X panel key to go back to the panel selection window is slower than I would like from the calendar panel, but from other panels its ok.
other than that its really hard to differentiate it from any other WM device apart from its styling of course
edit: @Merlyn101, it came from CPW tele sales

max was just joking.
@matthewf01
I think there may be a few others here from the U.S., but just a handful though |

@Masseur
So un-riddle this: do you need a stylus for on-screen text entry, or did they add some finger friendly input panel?
