..is Sandisk 4g Ultra II Memory Stick Pro Duo compatible for P990i or there's a 2gb limitation for the P990i?
..let me know coz it's a $40 price difference for twice the size of the memory..thanks!

Well interestingly, while sorting out my bookmarks (SE ones are locked from moving too unfortunately) i noticed that Voda's settings are all stored in the Z:Private folder.

A proper file manager program should do the trick.

So do you think it would be possible to flash a generic rom by hacking the voda rom?

I really wouldn't be the one to know. Just as the early days with the p800, you had to get a decent 3rd party file manager to access the real nitty gritty of the phone and this specifically was what i was referring to.

As to cracking the current firmware, well i don't recall that even happening for the p8/900 phones so doubt it will ever occur, though i'd be glad to be proven wrong. I think the chances are very slim.

With regards to the firmware for networks, i cant see this being a problem in all honesty. Any update released by SE will be filtered to the networks who will then add their bloatware and repackage it solely for their customers. The main point being that the latest updates as provided by SE will be implemented, albeit a few days after generic release.

Saying that, i can't see Voda making any further changes to the firmware than already provided.

Take a look in the manual. It says you can use up to 8 GB.

Hi Popolou,

Your comment of
"The main point being that the latest updates as provided by SE will be implemented, albeit a few days after generic release."

I think you may find this is a very optimistic view history would tell us it can take months not days for Networks to add the relevant updates. Which along with branding issues is why so many would rather pay more to get an unbranded version.

Sorry, a bit off topic but i got an excellent deal on the P990.

Someone I know won a P990 at some gala and wanted the Jammin instead. I bought him the Jammin and took his P990, I now have the P990 for a comparatively low price of $650. Yes, he got the best deal but hey im not complaining either.

I got my unit 2days ago.
need some help pls as i wasn't able to synch-in my emails. However the contacts, calendar was a breeze.

Yeah, i got tons of email really to be transffered in the ofc. i tried minimizing the items to synch - limiting email size, to attachement size, up to even no more attachments. From 1full month emails, to 1week .. but no success evenl.
i tried the wizzard, and subsequently the manual set up and choosing the correct folder but no use. It will start and it will graphically increment and will get stuck (viewing the details no emails transferred) therefore there is something being overlooked in my set up. But what is it? Is there anything i can read to be guided accordingly.

My home PC system: MS Windows XP prof v2002 only
and the PC suite failed to install on my PC What are my other options to have the PC suite ruuning to my PC wihtout system upgrade. I needed at least to run File manager and enable me to share files PC-to-SE phone.

thanks for the help.

If you have a cardreader on your computer just pop out the Memorystick and transfer files directly. It's much faster.

the best thing to do is, cancel the mac filter restriction u have in place for the router. Thid will let the router accept all devices including the p990i.

Either: -

1) Check the label on the box, its there.
2) If you connected to the router, it should have a record in the log or secutiry screen of the attempt for the phone to use the wireless connection.
