I still think R1BC002 is the best so far - on face value. Although, there is one nasty feature that occured to me last night. Last night, when viewing and zooming in on a picture my phone locked up completely. i.e. All lights stayed on with hour glass hovering over the picture I was viewing - keypad totally locked up. I had to remove the battery. This happened once or twice to me with the previous R1AA008 Firmware. So I guess something that has not been addressed in the new firmware.

successfully upgraded my w800i. it seems it's now officially available as it detect that a new firmware is available for the said phone (APAC_1).
too bad for m4a tags though..the actual file name is displayed when you browse by artists >_>
before updating..be sure to create all your playlists as it's goodbye m4a tags. |

one thing i notice on w800..
when you turn off the phone and when it asks you to select music only or start the phone. try to lock the keypad then open the camera. you can use the camera as normal. when you close the camera, the "X" symbol over the signal bar is removed. does this mean it's not on flight mode anymore? >_> |

Well I lost the T9 Predictive Text functionality when I upgraded to R1AA Firmware and hoping that it would be restored when upgrading to R1BC but still no T9 Dictionary.
Believe me, holding down the * button doesn't do anything and I have checked the Language options and every single menu option and still no luck.
Pain in the ass not having T9. |

Walkman Player hiss noise is still on R1BC002.
How disappointing. |

I too upgraded to R1BC firmware,
it works great,
most of the issues resolved,
and fortunatly no major new issues introduced,

This has happened to me since R1L002. If you leave the phone for 10-15 minutes when it apparently freezes, it will recover by itself. |

yes. i have noticed that the phone can recover by itself.. i had some twitch with USB synching with my PC... sumtimes its flawless sometimes not... but when its kinda lousy, my phone goes on white screen.. then black.. then shuts off.. after 30s or less.. it restarts by itself without asking for PINS. kewl..

I played around with this, and from what I can tell, although the "X" is missing over the signal meter, the phone is still in flight mode until the "start phone" option is selected. |
