@jcw That would be great!
@Tiger Can't you tell is that possible to make T28 flip to behave the same as T29 flip? I think that can be done, but i want to hear guru's conclusion:-D.
do both R190 and R290 have modems?

As you know i'm T39 fan, coz of many reasons. One of them is smooth flip opening, and honestly i didn't liked that hook on T28, it "spoils" all flip inner side charm.
BTW sy knows any product that uses "real swedish archeous design" nowadays? And one more question: you know any project that involves eri designers? Just want to see smth new from ////// but with good old design.

there are some links here according your wishes, gonna try to dig those out... btw i dont think there is a solution to use the flip on another way in t28, mainly cos of the way it has been designed and produced. u should re-build the whole frontcover then.

I didn't opened T39, so i can't say how its flip mechanism works, but i think that's kinda spring used in T28. But if that change can be done many T28 users will forget 'bout fliplock leaks.
Ah, just remembered to make some pics of R380EM. Hope i'll not forget to post them;-). Why good ideas come at 3am:-D?

I'd rather wait til Tiger's answer. What does gf, gh, ph, pf, gs, df and dh mean? I can't get old eri naming convention. Can you explain what do those mean and what's the difference between them?

sorry, no idea. maybe just codes, maybe they have special meanings. for example gh388 is almost the same as ph, but the aerial and hw is different. or at the "lx" units we discussed here lately. there arent no big differences among those models, all are aparts of a kind of "family ".

The mechanism is different:

T28 flip mechanism:

T29/T39 flip mechanism

GH - GSM handset (900)
PH - PCN handset (1800)

GF - GSM flip
PF - PCN flip

There were many bad comments on that mechanism, especially in first handsets. I remember T28 theme on iXBT Forum, first flip leak occasion appeared appr at 30 page.
