@s32bauer, cpw have given me my city link tracking code and confirmed its showing as a Saturday delivery.

I guess if they can't get it out of the warehouse in time that might change things... we'll see

On Voda website on the specs list seems to suggest no SD Card included. Is this the same with other UK supplied X1's?

Firstly Thanks JD!

Because you reported you just ordered your phone from Vodafone, mine is now on the way too!

However I missed the 6pm delivery for Monday cut-off, so will be with me on Tuesday. Mine is an upgrade from my P990i, so my deal reads as follows:

phone - free
contract 18 mnths
£35 pm
600 mins
unlimited texts
stop the clock
2Gb Micro SD card (negotiated over the phone, just be extra nice, it works for me )

One note though.... Vodafone are only licensed to sell the Black version, why? Weird eh? Anybody know why?

I normally prefer Silver, but I ain't gonna cry about getting my hands on one

ah... Just as I'm typing this, Vodafone have sent me a order confirmation message, guaranteeing Tuesday delivery between 8-18hrs. I WILL NOT BE LEAVING THE HOUSE THEN... better get my shopping in tomorrow and Monday, haha.

Chris

I will post a review, though some of the offers might be network carrier specific. For example I've heard vodafone UK, have put there own Sat Nav system on. So will let you know...

What the guys meant is that you could run the new games that come out for WM and have "nicer" graphics then the older ones and perhaps some 3d stuff.....
dont get your hope to high!

NO i know what i ment, The ATI thing maybe a marketing trick, but im confident you can play playstation games on X1. Other PPC with lower specs than x1 can do it check youtube

its called FpseCE

Hi Creid, you are right. This is to confirm your positive feelings and beyod.

You can expect the best graphics video and gaming experia in the Xperia of course it is up to the developers to take advantage of the powerful guts that the xperia have inside.

The Qualcomm CPU is not a toy but can drive your toys.
go to page 10 of and see all ammunition this SOC has.
and to stop the doubts, verify that ATI 2D/3D hardware is not a marketing trick, it is integrated in the Qualcomm
Plus a lot other funcions like GPS etc are also built in in the chip

The answer to the question why some people notice that the Pro or diamond are not as responsive or fast than the experia (except or the panels) . I just don't know but I'm glad. I can only speculate: the quality of the display or the drivers included, or the care & quality how the Xperia was built. Just a guess.

Hey glad to help!

Only realised after I placed my order that it didn't ship with an SD card given that the Swedish version seems to have shipped with a 4gb card, if I understand right. So well done for negotiating one for yourself.

As I mentioned earlier, you have to ask, each Vodafone sales person has a small personal account to offer customers - call it incentives. However if they offer one customer a deal, someone has to miss out. So like I said, just be nice on the phone - you need to speak to someone, as it's not an "in-the-box" item.

BTW - Vodafone only carry stock of 1 and 2Gb cards. Which is why I'll be buying an 8Gb card too

Hi all,

Sorry didn't mention my deal which was an 18 month contract @

£20pm can't remember how many minutes and texts but as a 2nd line really doesn't matter to me.
£4.99 Internet pack this is the 500mb fair use add on which should be free on 18 month £35pm plans.
X1 £49.99

Plus of course i have 14 days to decide if i want to keep it or not.

Marc

Update from Carphone Warehouse.

Mine has been placed on back order. Apparently they had them in at 10.00am, and they were all sold by 12pm. Disgusting service.

Oh well, asked to end my contract so bye bye Carphone Warehouse.

@Norti

That was the one thing i made sure i had on mine even though i took the lowest minutes and texts possible. Otherwise i don't get the point of having a Data centric device if you are going to have to worry about Data charges and not have an inclusive Data plan.

I'm not sure surprised, I left carphonewhorehouse in 2002, never looked back. Phone vodafone and you'll have it for Tuesday .

BTW - Free internet access with the correct package

Hi Dogmman,

I am eagerly waiting your review as I am sure it will be based on facts and objectivity. Lol, first time that I actually like your SE non-funboyism to call it that. And I am totaly with nitro, if it is sluggish i.e. slow even only in panels no way I will give my money. Thank you in advance.
