Day #4: I have not been counted. I even heard that in some Eastern States, they are repelling the Census ppl... that they belong to Biafra not Nigeria!! Can we ever get an accurate figure? |

I got counted today, they ask ridiculous questions like how many cars do i have, how many radio, and stuff like that, if i dont have 2 cars, do they wanna give me one more. Just joking, y'all should just stay at home, seems they are battling with logistics, that why the stuff is slow.

haven't been counted either, but lots of people i know did. maybe 2mrw. but this seems to be a crock. the money that went into this could have been used on more pressing issues. how many hours of electricity did you guys that stayed home enjoy during these past few days? the stats they are tryin to collect would only be useful if all the corruption and misdirection of funds were reduced drastically. |

I too haven't been counted. At this rate,I wonder if they'll finish this stuff even if they had a month.
For the first time, I encountered a phone I couldn't configure for wap. I tried both Vmobile and MTN. The  W550. I did everything right, but still got the message "connection failure, please check ur settings". Anyone using this phone please confirm these settings.
Data Accounts: MTN
- APN=web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
- USERNAME=web
- PASSWORD=web
Internet settings: WAP profiles - MTN Wap
- CONNECT USING=MTN
- IP ADDRESS=10.199.212.2

I am assuming you used your SIM card that worked in other phones? If so, it may be a phone-specific thing... shebi na new phone model? Call Glo CC. |

@amby, did you just recently purchase the phone(w550), how much was it and how does it compare with the k750 in terms of look, feel and specs?
I'll advise you go to SE website and send the wap settings directly to your phone number via their online configurator. There might just be some new things that require a different set-up in that device.
I got counted yesterday finally! |

yes guys, the blue gprs triangle is present. No I didn't buy the phone, it belongs to a female friend of mine. I'll try the  website.
the w550 compared with the k750 seems bland. the screen is smaller and not quite as crisp. the keys feel plasticky and the user interface isn't as responsive as the k750. all said, I think the w550 is just a k700 on steroids. |

So I was counted this afternoon; I couldn't chase the enumerators as promised because they were quite nice the way they approached us. Well, let's hope they round up on Sunday so that we can hit our various places of work by Monday...break is just too long.
@amby; I was looking forward to getting the w550 for kicks until se announced the w950. How's the music output? better than k750? |

Hey Guys! I hope y'all have been taking advantage of the pirated DVD's around o! The titles I have seen are something else.
I have bought the following collections: Tom and Jerry, Arnold Scwarz...whatever (Terminator trilogy plus Commando, Eraser etc), Matrix Trilogy, Star Wars (the first set 1977-83, still looking for the newer ones), Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean, Johnny English), Sandra Bullock (Miss Congenaility, Two Weeks Notice etc) and of course my beloved Disney Animation films
I also saw a Jim Carrey (Imagine! It had Dumb and Dumber, Bruce Almighty and 4 other films I have never watched.) and Tom Cruise collection which I will buy ASAP. I don't know if there is a Steven Spielberg or Tom Hanks collection. I am still searching.
Yes, I am supporting piracy... but where will you ever get gems like the whole Mr. Bean films in on one disk? Or the whole "Aliens" series with Sigourney Weaver? I am grabbing all I can before they all vanish from the market.
Meanwhile I no even get DVD o! I want to be watching it on my PC.... so now I have an incentive for getting a DVD rom soon.

@Brym: Apart from the shortcut keys that give u quick access to the mp3 player, there's no noticeable difference. The W900/950 will probably be the better players of the lot.
@Coola: The picture quality of those 5-in-1 dvds are always suspect. Avoid them. Avoid also the more recent movies which are usually cinema dubbed and have the worst picture quality u can imagine. |

the census is til monday. the thingy has been to my advantage cos v got exams on tuesday so i used it to prep. my head don wan xplod like this. people pray 4 me cos tis a make up exam 4 bangin it d 1st time. couldnt dwnld d new opera,dunno why.
