interesting that there are no real leaks yet. let's hope sony whips out a show stopper at IFA. It's funny that their ambient flow design is disliked by most sony fans but well liked (in general) by tech review sites that i've read. probably has a lot to do with the fact that the design resembles other manufacturers instead of having a strictly sony identity. at this point, i would love to see sony tackle a compact device with a design that is completely out of the blue and pushes the boundaries of imagination. this is one of the major things i miss about the old feature phones. we were almost always guaranteed some drastic design change from year to year and it was exciting for sure. i realize how difficult this is when the most important feature of today's phone is a giant screen, but that's where sony can shine. do something crazy. what have they got to lose at this point? they're already picking up the scraps ...
anyway, really looking forward to IFA, but my gut tells me we won't see anything really "new" until MWC. but hey, let's hope i'm wrong and xz2p was just a proof of concept and what they push out at IFA will be the real deal.

Does the OnLeaks render not count as a real leak? O_o
Looks pretty real to me. Only question is whether they release anything else alongside that, but doubt they would release two competing flagship range/premium devices at the same time (apart from compact version). |

^that's true. i forgot about that render. seems like a slightly refined version of ambient flow design.
hope it has more to offer than just slight refinements or it'll just be swept under the rug and forgotten before it's even released for sale.

If it has oled + a new camera sensor then it would be pretty significant, especially if the sensor provides a noticeable improvement or some new feature. That’s what I’m hoping for anyway  |
