What are you talking about framerate and res are just as important. Res is the size after all.
500 i have it on good authority that it WILL be only 15fps QVGA.
A lot of people on here claim to have seen it and they also claimed Feb announcment then April.
I said ages ago that October would be the release date as that was rubbished and since then its come out that I wasnt far of. Only by a few weeks into September.
Trust me its going to be 15 fps QVGA only.
When i say reserve a higher res for high end phones i mean for example future w and p/m range models.
Hmm.. Let's see.. If it will only be 15 fps then what good would it do with QVGA recording? Nothing.
Seriously dude, what's this thing with "its come out that I wasnt far of"?? you weren't far off? ooh okay, i'd like your source on that. i'd call that guessing. and i really honestly think you're desperate right now. Earlier today, you PM'ed me about sofia's announcement and those dates - several times actually. I thought you were sure about it and had "good authority" on it, as you call it.
Lastly, why should a phone have better video recording than a cybershot / dedicated camera phone? Not to mention, an m-series phone? give me a break...
Yeah your right why would a walkman phone (w900) have better video than a cybershot (k800) phone. I really dont know that one mate lol
And as I also said in the PMs i had seen a lot of conflicting information which was why I was asking you. As for my source well be realistic who on this forum openly gives that information. I said October (which was also said by someone on MR) and that was dismissed yet whats the true outcome?
What happened to all the inside info
"i have a feeling it will be 12 feb" and it just keeps going on.
The truth is you dont know any more than the next hoper on here coolsha.
Whats the big deal if it is QVGA anyway? Its better than QCIF right? And its not like SE are always at the front spec for spec against Nokia or Samsung for that matter.
Thank you.

I would happily accept QVGA (or CIF) @ 30 fps instead of VGA @ 15fps. 15 fps is choppy and the videos are pretty useless. |

Indeed. Plus its eats up so much memory. QCIF/CIF 30fps is a nice balance and gives good results if your just playing back on the phone. |

I don't know what I'm missing, but I don't see the exact point of this new phone. what sets it apart from the w850i? is it made of metal? better screen? 'new' features? and the w850i also looks far better. |

It replaces the W850. Bigger screen and alot slimmer and since it it has the same controls as the Z750 it could be quadband GSM + triband 3G with HSPDA. I'd think that would be enough. Although I'd like to know if it's autofocus or not.

@ Bodum:
main differences with will be:
metal body
larger screen
smaller size (a little bit I think)
maybe autofocus on camera (I think it will be)
Walkman 3.0
HSPDA
And maybe other stuffs (I'm not in god's secrets )

I don't see any autofocus branding on the camera, though. and would HSPDA, larger screen and a metal body be good enough for what might be considered a replacement? it's only a bit better than the k800 vs k810 debacle I think. |

Well we have yet to decide wether there is a red light for focusing in the pics. But yes it definaitely is enough for an upgrade. Shaving 8mm off is quite an achievement and .4" on the screen's diagonal isn't enough? They didn't do that much on the K810 so I don't see the parallels.

I think there is AF with the camera.
If no, what is this red ray of light just above the cam's lens? I laser weapon for casino royale II?

I don't think it'll have auto-focus since it's so thin. But if it actually turns out to be a non-touchscreen smart-phone that could be the LED for messages, etc...

The auto focus camera module on the K750i is about 1cm or under. Wouldn't be surprised if they managed to create a thinner module for that. |

It will also have walkman 3.0 which sounds like a decent upgrade from walkman 2.0 which is on the w850. And w850 was the first with walkman 2.0 and it sounds like shinobu will be the first with walkman 3.0 so theres another reason to call it a successor. |

But the T650 doesn't get split in half by being a slider.
